Yep, Historically 2000 yards has meant automatic Heisman, at least from AQ schools. Only one I can really remember who didnt was a guy from Iowa State back in the early 90's, Troy Davis. If Carlos would have been here all year, he'd be going to New York with more than 1600 yards - More than Eddie George ran for.

to elucidate, he has 947 yards IN SEVEN GAMES. that projects to 1900 yards in 14. 1600 in 12.

He'd probably be approaching 1400, and on his way to 1700-1800 yards and 20+ touchdowns this season. Missing those three games is slightly obscuring what a FILTHY year he is having. He's in rare air productivity-wise this season.

Jordan Hall had 402 yards in the first three games. Let's just say that Hyde would have had at least that many.

Pitt is one of the most underrated Buckeyes of the last 25 years. He was overshadowed by Troy, Teddy, Sanantonio, Gonzo, et al. Would be fun to see what he could do in this offense.

Completely agree with both. Pittman was practically a revelation...it was great to see someone run with purpose again after a few years missing that.

That should have read more than 1600 yards - even more than Eddie had. That wasnt clearly typed. I realize Eddie had more than 1600, that number was what I was looking at in 12 games that was posted before me. Just adding what Hall had for the games that Hyde missed and he'd be over 1400 yards right now.

I don't remember which of the other sites' recruiting insiders said he was nothing more than a fullback and he would never be a running back for OSU, but I hope that person has acknowledged that swing-and-miss.

Jaamal Berry was the more celebrated back in that class. To be honest, I can't think of very many people that expected El Guapo to be more than a "depth" guy. IIRC, there were qualification issues (I know he did a year post-grad), and I think there was a question if he'd ever make it to C-bus at one point. It's just another example of why you celebrate every recruit. You never know which one is going to be the next A.J. Hawk, James Laurinaitis, Malcolm Jenkins, or...now...El Guapo or Kenny Guiton.
