RB Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde (Official Thread)

I'm here to eat some crow where it comes to Carlos Hyde getting to 1000 yards:

I don't really see a chance for Hyde to get there. We're talking about a player who hasn't even played yet this season. He'd have to average 100 ypg from here on out, including a bowl. Slightly less than that if the Bucks make it to Indy. In my IMO he had a better chance to do it last season and didn't make it. This year Jordan Hall is healthy, Dontre Wilson is taking carries and the coaches seem intent on passing more than they did last season.

I posted the above in Jordan Hall's thread back when there was a debate across several threads about who would get carries upon Hyde's return to action. I've known for several weeks that I was going to have to make this post, but held off until now because I didn't want to jinx anything.

I love power running and love what Hyde brings to the game. I've lamented the fact that the game of football has mostly turned its back on that approach. It has been a great pleasure to watch him play this season and I couldn't be happier to have been so wrong.

Pretty cool and funny reminiscing on Carlos' past rankings when he was coming out of HS. Rivals didn't have him in their top 250! AND he was ranked only 50 in the state of Florida, the guys in front of him have mostly fallen off, and he was the forgotten member of a three man RB class, that also included Jordan hall and Jamal berry. What a difference a few years makes.
Carlos has been a great spark to our offense the past few years, and made the new staffs jobs much easier, since they have a workhorse RB that won't fumble and will always fall forward and fight for tough yards. It's been such a pleasure watching Carlos mature, and there's a few more games for Carlos to continue to cement his legacy in S&G.

In just 9 games, Carlos has racked up 1290 yards rushing and scored 16 touchdowns. You, sir, are ridiculous.
