I am really not trying to crack a joke or anything here...

In all seriousness, he wants to win championships and go to bowl games and that is why he is looking around...

Then why consider Michigan? At absolute worst (and I really doubt it happens like this) OSU would receive a two year bowl ban. That would mean his freshman year he would not play in a bowl game.

So at absolute worst and what would be an unprecedented punishment, he would not play in a bowl his freshman year if he came to OSU.

Meanwhile, Michigan will be lucky to make a bowl in either of the next two years.

I am not trying to look at this through scarlet glasses, but I really do not understand. If he was visiting Bama or LSU or a contender like that then I would understand. However, regardless of the punishment that OSU MAY receive, OSU will still be in contention more than Michigan over the next few years.

That leads me to believe, that as long as OSU keeps Tressel, he will be a Buckeye.

Don't blame him at all. With OSU's depth, and although Brionte has been 'the man' for much of his life, that may change at OSU. Given current depth, AND if OSU is looking good with Schnell (who is a bit better?), then he'd probably sit (assuming no injuries, etc).

Remember that Ricky Powers danced with the Buckeyes until Robert Smith committed to OSU, and then he skedaddled to Michigan. He didn't want to sit behind Smith, but who knows, he might have been ahead of Smith. Anyway, looking at the depth chart and who they're recruiting, I'd be more worried about the other RB that's committed. With two more in front of him that are more highly rated, he might decide that's too big a hill to climb, and look for another smaller hill.

Just because you dance with someone doesn't mean you're going to marry them. If he looks at a few campuses (campi), it will either convince him that OSU is really the best, or he might get blown away with someone else's program. It's all about the kid in the end. If a place is just right for someone, I'd rather they go there, for both his and OSU's sakes. We've had a couple of 'leaners/tweeners' that picked OSU then changed their minds. Life is too short to drink bad wine, or to stay at a place where they feel uncomfortable, for whatever the reason. More power to him. If it's meant to be, then he'll be a Buckeye.

maybe there are other factors. Maybe UM offers an academic program he likes. Maybe he's just taking all the visits he can. I know I would be. Like Cali said, depth chart could play a factor in it. Look at Michigan's running backs. They are very small, with the exception of Hopkins, we don't have anyone over 210 lbs.

You are overthinking it.

He committed early. According to him and his father, the only reason he is taking visits is in case OSU and Tressel get hit with tougher sanctions.

By all indications, he is only unsure of his decision because of the NCAA investigation.

Maybe the depth chart will come into play, however that is not the reason why he is looking around.

They made a bowl game last year, why's it so far fetched that they can't do it again this year & next year too?

Because they could at least score points last year.

This year they are switching to a pro style offense with spread style players.

The defense will be the same, maybe a little better or worse. No big difference either way.

which is why I said earlier that he's probably just taking all the visits he can.

Dunn is a big back with power and speed. Those guys tend to play under JT. If JT stays and I believe he will then imho he is a Buckeye. JT has learned a thing of two and a few big backs are very important down the stretch. Go Bucks

Not to disagree but that type of back is going to play under Hoke too.
