I know we aren't landing him, but dang I love the staff's tenacity. It takes those kind of stones to land elite players. When you have a great product to sell, keep pushing becuase sometimes you land a kid you never dream you will land.

I did read he actually offered or contacted Gary back when Gary was in the 8th grade or something like that. So there is a base there. Who knows. Like I said, when Urb is involved, anything can happen. and when 18 year olds are involved, who the heck knows. Decisions are sometimes made after a good nights sleep it seems with recruiting these days.

Regardless of the outcome, I appreciate the aggressive, unrelenting approach. That is how recruiting wars are won, and how skunkbears are turned into roadkill. (Now, can we please see that aggression extend to the offensive play calling in the bowl and beyond?)
