Schiano has been recruiting Gary unofficially since Gary was in junior high. This is far from a situation in which Schiano needs to establish a rapport with Gary. That was done years ago.

I'm not so sure it's over... odds still aren't great but it's been reported on one of the services that Rashan really liked tosu but that mom wasn't keen on us due to academics. If we can sell mom on the academics which from the latest update sounds like is GS angle them perhaps there's something here.

I'm sorry but how would we lose with Gary and Bosa up front? Then you add in Burrow and cooper who we also landed and that's the best dline haul I've ever witnessed.

If I'm Urban I'm selling the fact that Harbaugh will be gone before he graduates, our academics are rock solid and we will have two dline man in the first round this year. Plus GS whos better than I'd assume 90% of coaches in college is going to be here for at least 1-2 years as a coordinator

If he's considering Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson, it can't be as big of a deal as some are making it out to be. That said, I suppose UM could be a problem in that regard if you trust them to let him major in something rigorous.

Unless Ohio State, or any other program for that matter, hires Chris Partridge, any chance they have at Gary is non-existent.

OSU is the #16 public university in the country and going up on the list every year. What's not to like about academics? Average ACT for incoming freshmen was a 28 or something. 50% in the top ten % of their senior classes.

For normal students, sure. Let's not go all Michigan fan and act like that's the same education football players are getting.

Not that football players are dumb.....they just have about a quarter of the time and energy to spend on academics that normal students have.
