Yeah, a big part of his production had to do with the attention that Randy Moss received.

Good thing for New England is that there are a bunch of talented WRs who could come out for next year.

The list includes:

Michael Floyd
Jonathan Baldwin
Julio Jones
AJ Green
Deandre Brown
Leonard Hankerson
Devier Posey
Ryan Broyles
Titus Young
Austin Pettis
Greg Little
Ronald Johnson

That's just big #1 WR guys...there are other guys like DJK from Iowa, Cleveland from Houston...etc etc. Its the deepest WR class I've seen in some time.

Hopefully the Browns can get a #1 WR in the second round next year. With that depth it might be good for Posey to come back for another season if the depth isn't there in 2 years.

how does this affect Harvin owners?

Going to help them a lot.

If you're a Sidney Rice owner who was impatiently waiting his return, I'd be pretty pissed.

I don't understand this trade. The Vikings are going to get Rice back soon, and Randy Moss isn't going to fix the problems they were having. Their problems were playcalling and Brett Favre issues imo. Randy Moss will definitely help them, but they're going to have a issues when Rice returns. Too many guys wanting the ball, and they should be a run-first team.

The Patriots probably should've just sucked it up and kept Moss until the end of the season, because Randy Moss did a lot for that offense even when he wasn't catching the ball. If they use Aaron Hernandez in that role, they're expecting a rookie to take the place of one of the greatest WRs of all time. For a third round pick.

I disagree. This is going to make the offense stacked. How do you defend it??? And no one can get mad about AD getting the ball....

Vikings are major Super Bowl contenders. They can beat you in so many ways. Favre, Peterson, Moss, Rice, Harvin, Shiancoe, Berrian....

I totally understand doing this trade. Everyone knows that the goal is to win the championship I don't think there will be any problems with it. It's not like Rice was going to have a big year this year anyways after missing 8 games...

And Aaron Hernandez is nothing like Randy Moss in any way.

Randy is going to make that offense take off. Takes guys off of AD, gives them the best deep threat in the game of football, takes guys off of Harvin and Rice... It makes them unguardable in my opinion...

I know he's nothing like Randy Moss. But he's their only other deep threat to my knowledge. Adam Caplan talked about it earlier today, so it's not just me who sees it.

They should be impossible to defend as it is. They have Adrian Peterson and enough talent at WR and TE to give defenses a lot of trouble. You can't just plug in a guy who wasn't getting enough touches as it is, and a guy who wants a new contract, to a team with an abundance of weapons as it is and expect it to go smoothly.

Randy Moss is going to want the ball, and if he doesn't get it, he's going to be pissed like usual. There's already a rift between Favre and Childress. Big risk for the Vikings. They shouldn't need a Randy Moss, they have enough weapons. Bigger problems with that offense than an aging (potential) locker room cancer who wants a new contract.

I said that it helps the Vikings.. they're definitely a better team because of it, right now. But in a few weeks when Favre is still throwing picks and Moss isn't getting the ball, we'll see. They shouldn't need Moss to be a very effective offense. That was my point.

By all accounts from what I've heard from family on campus, Floyd will be coming back for his senior year so look for him in the 2012 Draft.

we will be able to see if welker can live up to his first team all-pro status which he didn't deserve. he is a possession receiver and not a number 1.

Yes, well that "possession" receiver you seem to hate was 2nd in the NFL in receiving yards last year in only 14 games. 3 straight 1,000 yard season with over 100 catches in each. I'd say that's all-pro material.

With Moss. Look what happened to Gonzalez, Robiskie and the crazy WR depth for OSU when Ginn got hurt.
