Moss accused of beating woman

Randy Moss joined the New England Patriots this season determined to avoid off-field problems. Now he's in the middle of one, just days before Sunday's AFC championship game.
A temporary restraining order was issued Monday requiring the wide receiver to stay at least 500 feet from a woman who alleged he committed "battery causing serious injury" to her at her Florida home Jan. 6.
Moss denied the allegation by Rachelle Washington, which he called "this situation of extortion," and said he was "furious" about it. The restraining order was issued in the Broward County 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Moss buys 50 percent of Craftsman Truck Series team

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- All-Pro New England Patriots receiver Randy Moss is now a NASCAR team owner, announcing Thursday he's purchased 50 percent of a Craftsman Truck Series team.

Randy Moss Motorsports will make its debut on July 19 at Kentucky Speedway with Willie Allen driving the No. 81 Chevrolet. The number was changed from 46 to reflect Moss' NFL jersey number.

Moss has been eyeing entering NASCAR for some time, but said he decided to buy half of Morgan-Dollar Motorsports rather than build a team from the ground up. Moss wants the team to eventually move up to the premier Sprint Cup Series.

Adam Shefter ([censored]stick) reporting he's not going anywhere now.

Or maybe not. Or... WTF?!?!

Now ESPN says he's going.

But that's besides the point. What I really like is how Fox Sports breaks the story and ESPN has no mention of Fox Sports now (in most updated stories).

Wes Welker i would imagine does not like this...

Yeah, a big part of his production had to do with the attention that Randy Moss received.

Good thing for New England is that there are a bunch of talented WRs who could come out for next year.

The list includes:

Michael Floyd
Jonathan Baldwin
Julio Jones
AJ Green
Deandre Brown
Leonard Hankerson
Devier Posey
Ryan Broyles
Titus Young
Austin Pettis
Greg Little
Ronald Johnson

That's just big #1 WR guys...there are other guys like DJK from Iowa, Cleveland from Houston...etc etc. Its the deepest WR class I've seen in some time.

The Patriots running game is already fairly non existent. It will be interesting to see how much room Welker and Co. have now with Moss gone. Don't blame their FO for making this move but I can't see them going deep into the playoffs this year without one of the game's best home run threats. That and the fact the Patriots still can't cheat anymore.
