So they trade Deion Branch for a first, and they trade a fourth for Randy Moss.

They had two firsts this year, and they'll have two firsts next year. Damn.

They traded away that second first round pick they had and thats how they got next years extra first rounder.

As for Moss in NE.... I think Moss will have a hard time in NE. He says he wants a SB and there is a good shot he will get one with the offseason the Pats have had, but I think he will get upset will Tom Brady. Brady now has Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth, and Randy Moss, as well as all the others he had last season including his favorite TE Ben Watson. Brady has so many weapons, I don't think Moss is going to get all the touches he wants in NE.

They kept Cory Dillions ass in check and he was every bit the malcontent Moss is. I quit doubting the Pats and their system a long time ago. Great move by them.

I like how ESPN is already talking about how Randy Moss is going to be a different (and better) person now that he's going to New England. Randy Moss isn't going to change - just like TO didn't change. Not only is he not going to change, but his bullshit is going to be more amplified than ever because he'll be on a good team on the east coast that people care about, instead of being an asshole in relative obscurity in Minnesota or Oakland.

I do hope he moons the crowd at a Jets game though. That'll be priceless.
That's what I thought was funny. If he goes to any other team you don't hear all this ass kissing. I'm laughing my ass off at the people on ESPN who think this gives the Pats the SB.

Don't forget Washington. He's a weapon too.

Especially if Joe Buck is announcing. He would probably compare the incident to Pearl Harbor, or the Trail of Tears.

Anyways, Moss isn't that bad of a cancer in the lockerroom. He's flamboyant, but he only became an issue when he started losing. I think he'll be fine in NE.

Exactly... When Randy's winning, Randy's happy... And Randy should be winning a bunch this year... The big thing is that this was on Randy's terms... Randy told his agent and the front office at Oakland to get him traded to NE... He's happy, this is what he wanted, and (for BN27) he will be a MAJOR weapon for the Patriots...
Just like Corey Dillon... Never heard much crap from him after he got to Foxboro...

As Michael Smith said on the draft show, Randy's a front-runner... You didn't hear anything out of Randy when the Vikings were good...

The Patriots have the upper-hand with Randy here... If he acts up, they'll let him go... They're only out a 4th round pick if that happens, and the team is too heavy with veteran leadership for one malcontent (if he turns out to be) to bring them down... Low risk, high reward...

Randy Moss

In hot water before the big game?

ProFootballTalk.com -- The Best Pro Football Scoop on the Internet

With a chance for his first Super Bowl appearance only days away and a shot at a huge free-agency payday just around the corner, receiver Randy Moss reportedly has been involved in his first off-field incident since leaving Minnesota.
According to WDBO-AM radio, a temporary injunction has been entered against Moss "for protection against dating violence."
Moss reportedly cannot come within 500 feet of the complaining witness, or use or possess firearms.
The woman who obtained the injunction claims that Moss committed a battery against her, and then refused to allow her to seek medical attention.
A hearing has been set for January 28.
As far as we can tell, Moss has not been arrested and currently faces no criminal charges. Still, it's the last thing that he or the Patriots need as they prepare to continue to build upon a 17-0 record.
