QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Start Miller for the first half this week and when it's in blow out mode bring in Kenny. Miller is the started and needs his reps.

I was kinda thinking the opposite:

Play Kenny the first half, build up a nice 3-5 score lead (Should be very doable, FAM is terrible).

Bring Braxton in the second half, and play him the rest of the. He can get the rust knocked off, and you don't risk an early INT or fumble allowing FAM to stay in the game early. Braxton gets his rhythm...

Start Braxton vs. Wisky.

If they don't start Braxton this week there may be some murmurs of the dreaded QB controversy. There shouldnt be. Kenny is a role player who just happens to be outstanding in his role. He has earned reps though and should continue to get some the rest of the year.

Braxton, however, needs to play asap to get his rhythm back. Let him lead a few drives then put Kenny in. Second half start Braxton again and then let Kenny end the game. We should score more than 50 again this week so it's enough opportunity for both guys and more film for Wisconsin to worry about.

More important, imo, that Carlos get a bunch of reps this week.

If you're going to play Braxton for a half you play him in the first half. You want him playing with the rest of the starters, the guys he'll actually be playing with against Wisconsin. If you play him second half then he's playing with a lot of backups and not building chemistry with the starting receivers.

Only if we're up by 30 points or more. Reps are reps for Braxton at this point and the way we are using so many people, it works either way for him. It can only help with overall depth.

If he isn't healthy enough to run without pain or being slowed, or if doctors think that he could aggrivate the knee by playing, then he should sit. Even if its for multiple weeks.
Yeah I just don't want to see him risk hurting it worse by playing like RGIII did last season. If he isn't 100% yet, it doesn't seem worth it to play him especially when what makes him special is his legs.

I don't expect Carlos to get a lot of touches offensively this week.

Jordan Hall is 5th in the nation in rushing, and tied for first with rushing TD's (6). I'd be shocked to see him moved to receiver or H-Back very quickly under any circumstance. I'd expect him to continue to get the lions share of carries, with Rod getting the 2nd most, and Carlos getting whatever is left after Dontre gets his.

Who knows, obviously. And, as far as staying on topic, I'd be interested to hear exactly why Braxton was ruled out.

I figure it could be severity of the injury, lack of time to get comfortable, or just being extra cautious. Hopefully the injury isn't worse than it seems and Braxton just wasn't able to practice enough to be comfortable with the brace.

He must of been not ready to go. I figured Kenny would start and Brax would be in pads just in case they needed him. The fact that they decided that Cardale Jones was a better option than Miller tells me that his knee just may be a little worse off than than originally thought.

This, but Hyde needs some carries, to shake the rust off, because I think he will be needed against Wisconsin, which will field a much better D line than any we have faced so far..
