Also people think Mathews might have gone higher than Joeckel last year.

Possibly, but they said that about Lewan too which I thought was insane. How some think he could go #1 overall (Lewan that is) is beyond me. He has an NFL future, no doubt, and I could see him as a mid to late first rounder, but not that high. One of the guys I expect to drop when teams dig into film against stud DE's with power moves.

If Manziel somehow plays this year, which would amaze me, their offense will still be great as they return some studs (himself, Matthews, Evans, Malena, etc.). Defensively though they have to retool most of their LB's and DB's. They're going to be below average for an SEC defense IMO and that will be the kiss of death.

But on the topic of Braxton, can't wait to see what he does this year and next year. To think we most likely have 2 more years of watching this kid is such a treat. He's one of the guys that will inspire the next generation of Ohio QB's and will want to grow up to be him, people will make the "next Braxton" comments for kids and that says it all.

Heard UFM say today that he sees Braxton's ceiling a little bit. What does that mean?

I took it to mean that braxton is starting to get it all together to the point where he might not be at but is near his max potential. At least near enough that Urban can picture what he's like at his max potential. In my IMO

SI over the years has almost inevitably made the following three mistakes in their pre-season polls:

  1. Ohio State gets underrated.
  2. Michigan gets overrated.
  3. Notre Dame gets ridiculously, gut-bustingly overrrated.

Why? Because, fuck SI; that's why.

My thoughts exactly, Auburn. Ceiling=potential. You may have stolen my thunder (:tongue2:), but you're right on!

Yup. That quote (along with a bunch of others) has me extremely excited. Braxton with a complete grasp of the offense.... greatness awaits

If not mistaken Urban said he could see a "little bit of a ceiling" with Braxton. While I love the thought of Braxton having a complete grasp of the offense and running at Max potential...I don't think a "little bit of a ceiling" implies that.

Of course I think Braxton at 80% of his full potential running 80% of the offense still scores a bunch of points.
