QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

Guys, I know for a fact that Smith wasn't the only one flashing $100 bills around town last week. Hopefully he is the only one nailed on it though. The alternative would be absolute disaster, and I will leave it at that.

Scariest thing I've read on this thread.

Tell you all what...the very first time that a player gets the permanent boot from the team for pulling just that kind of shit, you'll see an immediate and complete stop to that behavior. Some players might still get cash on the side, but they won't dare flash the shit...

I agree, as there is only one Buckeye I can think of who is capable of the "disaster" label at this point.
I can think of two, but I don't think we have to worry about the kicker livin' the rap video lifestyle... He may be one of the best college kickers ever, but he's still JUST A KICKER. Bobby Bowden about the only guy I can think of who would bribe a kicker, and who could blame him?

I'm willing to bet he is not refering to Nuge.

Stike One .... the outside the dorm incident .....

Strike Two ..... the take it to the media incident

Strike Three ........... Suspended for the bowl game.

Troy needs his ass paddled then thrown off the team.

I am tired of explaining to my friends that this is just another isolated incident.

I like to be Proud of my University ...
not embarassed that I went to school there.

My mom says if you stir shit it stinks ......

Hey Troy .... what's that smell....??????????????????/

I personally am willing to bet that Troy Smith is permanently done. Haven't we all learned from the Mo clarrett story. "He is suspended but we will apply for his return." The Buckeyes are taking the high road with that statement. Close friends with Clarrett, taking money, running mouth to the media. Take one look at how geiger handled O'brien, the MBB penalty, Clarrett, ESPN, izz., and tell me Troy will play again, especially in the environment of the Clarrett allegations. But, when you tell me he will...bring your money. The initial rumor was "troy Smith off the Team" yet we can only accept the half of it, we will get the rest of the penalty later so it's not too much to handle all at once.

A poster on the BN premium board claims to have inside info that Troy gave his game jersey to a booster who sold it and kicked the money back to him. Don't know if he's credible, he hasn't posted much, but of all the theories I've heard so far, it seems the most plausible.

That makes no sense. Only seniors usually get to keep their jerseys, and the season isn't over yet. In fact, they're wearing the scarlet jerseys for the bowl.

I've seen TS Championship Ring on ebay for $10,000 as a possibility.

Those two rings never sold. Never got any bids.

Short of him moonlighting as a brain surgeon, please explain to me where a college kid of a modest background obtains the means for decoration like this. I would love to hear that. >>

1. credit cards. any college kid can get about 10 of them just by walking down High Street at the beginning of the quarter.

2. The nice stipend they get every month for living expenses.
