QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

I just wonder if Troy will feel differently once #10 is retired and he takes his (rightful) place in our ring of honor...

Always was and always will be a fan of his - it's just a bummer to learn he holds a grudge for how some things went down at tOSU...
That is all true, but if you think about it, the guy just got launched from the NFL, with the loss of salary and prestige and hopes of a career as a starter. The kid worked since grade school to have that dream, and got so very, very close - and now has to feel likes its all gone after all of that work.

His coach got fired. He got fired. He sees his name come up time after time when assholes try to assert that Tress has always been dirty, and try to kick Tress by kicking Troy. That just has to get old, being held up as a bad guy when he knows that he was not a bad guy. I think it is just a bad time for him. I've had a few bad times lately, and if somebody shoved a microphone at my mouth on a bad day, I can guarantee that I would likely say something out of frustration that I did not really 100% mean to say and would love to take back the second it left my mouth.

Yes, and meanwhile, the Dolphins are working out the likes of Jim Sorgi and Brodie Croyle, whoever the fuck that is.

I don't know Ohio State's thinking on this; however, my guess is that with his latest statements he may have pushed the process back another 5 to 10 years.

Andy Geiger is who TS is taking a shot at here.....Mo C has said the same thing in regards to Andy, who was thought of as "the institution". So he is letting us know he wasnt the only one who took cash from a booster...that is not "taking the rap" as others have stated...and it may very well be having someone like AG who the players looked at as the enemy is exactly what we are missing.

Brodie Croyle is a part of Alabama's fine legacy of having QBs with Bieber bangs.

It may be time for "the 49ers are screwing Troy" and "he was a productive NFL QB" (apparently, despite his statistics) crowd need to accept he's not what they want to see when they look at him, despite what he did in an OSU uniform. He's barely hanging on in pro football, and there is no demand for his services in the NFL.

As much as I enjoyed his performance versus scUM, his lack of preparation for the Florida game appears to have foretold his pro football future. He showed up in Tempe heavier, and obviously not ready to play. I'm sorry he harbors bitterness towards OSU, but he's got to look in the mirror a bit, too. I hope he gets past those feelings and finds a career, in football or otherwise.

He comes acrossed as verry bitter. Covered up for others? Maybe I missed it, did he speak out publicly before?
Interesting perspective. He came across to me as nothing more or less than objective and straightforward - pretty much as he always has. Troy has never censored himself much, except as he says to avoid throwing others under the bus.

He wants a medal for not snitching and is making sweeping accusations. Maybe his quotes are taken out of context, but it seems to me he harbors resentment toward the University. This is me without my scarlet and grey glasses. It seems the press, by the way they are reporting this story, feels the same way.
