Suggs probably realizes that Troy won't turn the ball over 3 times per game.

Right but Flacco doesnt either....for the most part. I was at Dolphin Stadium today, and can say that Flasso is nothing but a game manager. If thats what the Ravens want thats what theyve got! I spoke with several Ravens' fans who were more than excited about Troy's potential!

He didn't today, but he had three last week, two the week before that. On pace for 22 picks this season.

I can't help but think that Troy could do better than that, and add some mobility and general playmaking ability that Flacco doesn't have.

Apparently on 2 Live Stews radio show on Sporting News Radio,Terrelle Suggs said "If Troy Smith is healthy, he should be our starter."

Interesting.
Take this with a grain of salt. Two Live Stews try to make a racial issue out of ordering a butterscotch sundae instead of chocolate.

the ONLY stat anyone in Baltimore will be concerned about is W-L record.

If Flacco goes 9 and 7 he has the job.

I am hoping Troy gets traded somewhere if they are not going to use him when he gets healthy.

Lord knows cinci could use him, but only until Palmer gets back.

I could see Chicago, St. Louis needing in a couple years, Philly in a couple years will need someone, and of course Miami.... lots of possibilities but he needs to get a shot. And.... I dont see parcells being the kind of guy who would give him that shot.

Well, get healthy troy. If you're not gonna play at least be healthy enough to enjoy your money. Hope to see you in CBus this weekend.
Sweeeet!

I think he'd be a good fit for Martz's system in SF. Strong, accurate, smart. The Niners have good WRs for the system, they just need someone who isn't completely incompetent.

I just get this feeling that Troy isn't going anywhere. Can't really say why. :(

FWIW, I heard the Stews discussing Troy v. Flacco last week and didn't hear any (somewhat to my surprise) racial undertone. Their take was that Troy is short and a 5th round pick against a guy that the team (rightly or wrongly) picked in the 1st. Black or white, there is no way that Troy will supplant Joey Flaccone unless he has an absolute meltdown.

If what deterimes the starter is what they are paying him and not production or who gives the team a better chance to win, then its time to re-evaluate priorities. Wining is the key. If the guy making less and has less desirable measurables is actually the better player, he should be the one on the field.
