QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

WTFUCK Boller is a bum everyone on the planet knows he's a bum except whatever dumbfucks are coaching in Baltimore! I understand this is not a big deal but the fact is Troy is going to be the starter by week 3 why don't these bumloving cocksuckers get with the program NOW!!!

This actually isn't a bad thing imo, Boller is going to actually see time against some of the starters for the Patriots, even during pre-season they can make him look even more mediocre. Boller makes a bunch of mistakes, Troy comes in, starts cleaning up the mess, and then Flacco comes in and looks inexperienced.

That sounds about right to me. They go ahead and put Boller in early in the season, Boller sucks all over the field and Smith takes over, set out to prove all wrong for the remainder. This isn't anything new to Smith.

I've become convinced that Boller and Rex Grossman are part of some secretive society of NFL hypnotists who can trick their coaches into keeping and actually PLAYING them when they should be thrown out on the street instead.

At this point, there is no other possible explanation. I thought about incriminating pictures of the owner or something, but even that doesn't seem to warrant continued playing time.

don't fret

Yo yo don't worry... First of all, Boller is probably being shopped. They're hoping some sorry franchise like Detroit will inquire if he's available for a trade.

And Flacco, like Zwick, more highly touted coming in to the program... and after a while they'll realize that being a nice guy and 6'5" is not enough to lead a team to victory.

I'm not worried, maybe a little impatient, but not worried.

Some have already observed, like many eventually successful NFL quarterbacks, his success may be with another team who decides he'd be a good fit. Wouldn't you like to see him in Tennessee? or maybe Chicago? Troy a Bear? Hell yeah.

just takes time, 'at's all...

This probably puts Troy in for 2 quarters, and the other two in for a quarter each. That seems to be the template that most NFL teams use for their first preseason game. Hopefully this gives Troy more actual game action to show what he can do.

I think they have said that Boller will play most of the first half.

I would have to say this actually may work in Troy Smiths favor, because Boller is going to be starting against the Patriots starters on defense for at least part of that half. Harbaugh has said the reson that Boller is getting this first pre-season start is because he has been around longer and is the vet. It makes sense to me, make Boller go out and prove himself, and when he crashs and burns you hand it over to Smith or Flacco.

I can't watch the game, but I just checked the box score and it looks like things are working in Troy's favor. Looks like Boller fumbled once and threw a pick. They put Troy in for the last drive of the first half and he drove them to a FG. Let's hope Troy has a productive 3rd quarter.

Same old Boller. His numbers look decent: 11-15, 102 yards, but he's the same old turnover machine...lost fumble and an interception.

TS is 3-6 for 47 yards.

I'm interested to see what Flacco will do against the Pats 3rd stringers.
