Of course not, they played the Patriots.Best Buckeye;1225652; said:ESPN just covered the ravens game and had no mention of Troy.

Not only tremendous props, but a long segment breaking down some great plays by Troy. A laser over the middle splitting 3 defenders in time, and a filthy sideline pass (across the field, at the sideline, with two defenders right on his WR... yet no chance for a pick). He even mixed in some zone read action in that set of clips.OregonBuckeye;1225686; said:Troy got some props from Shaun Hill on NFL Live.
Boller "was impressive," Smith "was very poised" and will start the next game Aug. 16 at home against Minnesota, and Flacco "will learn very fast," Harbaugh said.
The High Points And The Looow Points, 1st pre-season game in review

Lows:
-Bollers Interception
-Bollers Fumble
-Troy Smith's careless passes
-Flacco's entire time in the game (jesus almighty watch over this guy, amen)
-Flacco's o-line if you even want to call it an o-line. Looked more like no-line
-Right side of the offensive line
-The entire 4th quarter.
-The Refs
Hard to tell he had a good game from watching via gametracker and seeing his stats, but these are good comments from a Ravens fan who could see the game. I'd love to see the two referenced passes.Troy Smith did have some careless throws that were off the mark, but when he connected..boy did he look amazing out there. He moved the offense down field. We actually looked like an offense. If you had to make your choice off of this game Smith would be your starter.

Troy takes over at 2:50 (you need to see the reverse angle to appreciate the window he threw that into... he had to lead his WR and split 3 players to make that... a second or two earlier and that's an easy pick).
The truly sick play, the sideline touch pass, wasn't on there :( Try and catch NFL live.

Smith to start second preseason game
After Boller's turn in opener, ex-Heisman Trophy winner gets nod vs. Vikings

Troy Smith will receive his chance to stake a claim to the Ravens' starting quarterback job.
The former Heisman Trophy winner will start the next preseason game, coach John Harbaugh confirmed after last night's 16-15 win over the New England Patriots. Smith will likely work the first half of the Aug. 16 game against the Minnesota Vikings at M&T Bank Stadium.
"We're looking at it as two games with balanced repetitions," Harbaugh said.
Kyle Boller started the preseason opener, completing 11 of 15 passes for 102 yards while playing nearly the entire first half. His performance marred by a fumble and an interception.
Smith, who entered near the end of the second quarter and played through the first series of the fourth, was 5 of 12 for 74 yards. His best throws came deep across the middle, a 30-yard pass to Darnerien McCants and an 18-yarder to Justin Harper.
The quarterback ratings for Boller (63.8) and Smith (62.5) were nearly identical.
"I thought Troy was poised," Harbaugh said. "He threw some NFL balls in there. He did a nice job."
Smith made two starts last season as a rookie after Boller and Steve McNair went down with injuries.
He completed 52.6 percent of his passes last season, throwing two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Smith said next week's start is "vital."
"It's very, very important for myself and my development for the team," he said.
