It is posts such as yours that makes me want to puke....you and your "Buckeye Planet--holier than thou...know-it-all freakin attitude!!

1. Where the hell do you get off tellin someone else to quit starting an honest thread in which the poster simply states his own honest opinion?

2. His "football knowledge isn't quite up to snuff"...what a joke!...Up to WHOSE snuff?...Yours? What the hell makes yours more right than his?

3. "Ohio State never has. never will, run a spread offense"....the poster never said that OSU did...and YOU should NEVER say NEVER!

4. "I doubt that there are many others out there that wish for a spread offense"...possibly, even probably true...however there ARE those that do want a somewhat more "spread" offense, myself included.

5. And , FINALLY....your unbelievably, condescending advice in your last sentence is the topping that makes me need to almost keep my attention focused more on other boards than here!

Who the hell are you to tell someone they need to be "more educated to the posters on the board"?....and the "attitude" of the board?...gimme a freakin break!...and more educated in college football in general....so that what?...he can only post what you agree with?

I rarely post on this board, because of posters like you...and I have been an OSU fan all the way back to Cassady, so don't tell me I dont know college football or OSU football in particular!!

In my opinion, you owe the original poster an apology, but considering your "more educated", "better than him" attitude....I know I will not see one!!
I really hope you aren't here anymore, but if you are, understand a few things. First, while not exactly polite, I wasn't being rude. The fact of the matter is that most posters here exhibit the kind of knowledge that you and biggs obviously don't. Anyone that actually thinks a team, especially tOSU, can make such a sweeping change as what is suggested here is an idiot. You're the one tossing out insults, and you're the one tearing apart my post. Personally, I'm just sick of morons and idiots wasting space on this board. You obviously don't like it here, so bye bye. Go talk to your intellectual equals. I would suggest an elementary school...

Yeeeesh. Once we begin to run (hopefully) with authority, we will not need the spread as we have seen it anymore.

I think this is the goal of the staff. Run. Run. Run- Pass downfield. Run the clock, defense- win game.

First, of all I read the same paragraph from Tressel's media luncheon. When paraphrased it looked like Tony and Brandon Schnittker will play some too. However, the O Zone posted the comments verbattum and it said that Lydell, whoever and Tony had a good week of practice. (PERIOD) The next sentence stated that Brandon Schnitker will play some too. I know it is symantics but there is a big difference.

Then you can read into his comments after the game on Saturday that Tony will be heavily used in our gameplay at MSU. Of course this was before the punctuality comment and turning the ball over. In any event, Tony is listed as 2nd on the depth chart and Lydeath is 3rd. I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow! GO BUCKS!

Just win the damn game . No one likes to pass the ball only 8 times, but if we win the game it doesn't matter one bit.

Now, something I would like to see are some runs outside the tackles by T Pitt. Too bad his pt is going to be cut this week.

I would personally like to see us pass a little more on first down. Teams just load up on us and we do not have the run dominant offense this year where we can run no matter what. Passing on running downs and running on passing downs would be a plus (IMHO).

I would love to see us use play action with bootlegs with Smith to use his mobility as well.

The bottom line is OSU must establish a running game and not turn to a QB with 2 games under his belt to win the game with his arm. If the game comes down to a battle of QBs you have to like the experienced QB at home. Hopefully OSU will eliminate the turnovers and get a takeaway or two. That will be enough for OSU to come out on top.

Actually, we do pass fairly often on first down...we just need to complete them a bit more often and also throw those first down passes deeper rather than dumpoffs or 4-5 yard curl-ins.

Troy Smith

What do you guys think?

I think he did well for his first away start against a good defense/ good team. Had some good things, but also some bad as well.

Thing that sticks out to me over the time he's been in there is that the recievers can't hang onto the balls he throws?? Holmes Drops a Touchdown, Gonzo drops a very long pass play, Bam Drops a pass. None the less he did what he had to do, not brilliant but a very effecient day.13-21 passing for 141 yards and a touchdown. SO not great numbers but I liked what I saw again. Especially his capability to make it happen with his feet then dump it off to a reciever.

Lets here it guys....... GO BUCKS!
