QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)
I hate them too... I'll have to get over this for Troy.
Heh, its funny cuz I really do hate the ravens... esp their owner. But I've always liked Ozzie and some of the players that went there when they left. So I'll just have to extend that to include Troy too. Hate the team, not the players/management/people (excepting their pos asshole self-aggrandizing owner)

really i never thought about the ravens but when i saw their pick coming up i immediately wondered who they all had at QB and i saw that as a REAL possibility. i was overjoyed to see the pick. you have boller and mcnair there. smith and mcnair have somewhat similar styles and mcnair can show him around and hell as old as mcnair is getting then who knows. boller will be gone soon on a trade anyways. at this point of the draft this is troys holy grail to getting playing time and/or a starting QB position.

I'm excited for him. Like the Bears, I think this is a team where there's a reasonable opportunity for Troy to realize a starting role down the line. It's all in his hands, and that's the best he can ask and hope for. Even if that never comes to be, it's a good spot for him, imo.

Man, good place for Troy to be imo (but I'm not thrilled he'll be playing against my Bungles), and I think the Crows (Ravens) have to feel like they made out like bandits getting him here.

Glad it finally happened for you, Troy. :osu:

God it makes me sick that he is going to Balty. Being a Browns fan, I hate it. I realize it is a good place for him since he can serve as a backup to McNair until he retires and can learn quite a bit from him, but I will hate seeing him as the enemy when he takes over, plus I am one of those who believe that he will be a successful NFL QB, so that does not mean good things for the Browns. So we will have a lot of Quinn vs. Troy matchups in the future. It's cruel irony that I will be rooting for the team that Quinn is leading and not the team Troy is leading. That is going to be tough.

Congrats though to Troy. He deserved to be taken a lot sooner, this is a steal for Balty.

Congrats Troy. McNair only has a few good years left, and as of now Kyle Boller is Troy's main competition :slappy:.

But seriously, I think he can do well there. I was kind of liking the thought of him going to Minnesota, because it would be nice to have him play with Adrian Peterson and Syndey Rice, or Chicago, but this is definitely a great place for him, and a good oppurtunity to become a future starter.
