Are you talking about the WR screen on the first offensive play of the game?
Nope I'm thinking of the bullet he threw to Holmes on the out...4th Qtr, 3rd & 11

</td></tr></tbody> </table>

Exactly right...there was zero chance for a DB even if he had jumped the route.

grad....that was unstoppable...i have to admit that i have never, never seen a buckeye qb (not even my man germaine) make that throw that well.....

hell 90% of the nfl qbs cant throw that kind of a pipe on an out like that.....

funny that you would notice that throw as well....i came home from the game and there were four plays i wanted to see on tape.....ginns return, ginns reverse, everetts pick and most especially that throw by smith....

No doubt...that type of velocity can tear the webbing between fingers. The scary thing is, TS is still raw. Once he develops a better pocket awareness and actually steps up in the pocket instead of laterally on straight drop back protection schemes, he will be even more dangerous. I'm still waiting for the tailored gameplan that emphasizes the rollouts and even a veer look.

If this is the throw I am thinking of it came right after Danielson made the comment that the coaches did not trust their QB's, based on the play calling. I know JT is not piped into the ABC commentators, but it was great timing.

precisely...right on cue, Troy threw a laser of an out to Santonio. Brent and Gary tried to laugh off like the couple of tools they are...

not to get off topic....i didnt get a good view of everetts interception live, but when i saw it on tape.....wow...that was a great play....

he stepped infront of the receiver, had an offensive tackle trying to block him and he took it and went to the house....wow....

I must be honest, I don't know if I remember that play. Unfortunately I have stopped taping the games due to three disappointments in a row, that simply pissed me off. I think you may be talking about a ten yard out than holmes busted up the side line. If that is the one, then it was a good enough throw, but it appeared from where I was sitting to be slightly behind the WR. That play was a long ways away from me, so I may be wrong.

You are. It was a perfect strike right between the numbers with enough room left to let Santonio get some YAC. No biggie here, but Smith has, IMHO, shown just as much, and probably better, accuracy than JZ.

Echoing the sentiments here on that throw. Thats probably the hardest throw a QB can make. Counting the wind factor and that throw was beautiful. I was screaming at the television for Tressel to open it up a little more on that drive so we could score but it was not to be. Hopefully he loosens the reigns on Troy this week for some more scoring.

TS has shown a gun for an arm.
A touch pass, a deep pass, and the tough passes, all of this along with the ability to run. The smarts to not force passes.

Am I missing something as to why he wasn't the #1 QB when the season started?
