And here I was thinking back when he first committed and then came on board that we had ourselves a Johnny Manziel "without the attitude". Uh, OK. One point deduction from the old Haole...

Or alternatively, he should have kept his fingers out of the twitters before he knew where the fuck he stood in the QB room?
Overconfidence effect, much?
(Tate, not you)
That is how I felt...Tate was the likely the guy with edge heading into the year and just ran away once Fields started looking here. I was a huge Tate Martell fan for the longest time, but I feel quite different now. He could have stayed here and won the job, he really could have. If he would have stayed at least for the spring competition like Burrow did and left if he didn't win the job, I would feel much differently. But he didn't and after how he handled this, I don't think much of Tate at all and that is the nicest way I could say it. I rooted for Joey in Baton Rogue this season despite the fact that he was playing in the SEC. That will not be the case for me when I watch Tate at Miami.
You might want to have your keyboard looked at; it seems to repeatedly mistype Ahole as Haole. And here I was thinking back when he first committed and then came on board that we had ourselves a Johnny Manziel "without the attitude". Uh, OK. One point deduction from the old Haole...
Burrow had the luxury of graduating and transferring and Tate had the OPPORTUNITY to graduate and then transfer in the Spring if he didn't win the job and he chose not to compete for it
Biggest difference for many is that Tate talked a big game, but when time came to back it up, he just left. Unless someone on the staff told him to do so (which I have a hard time believing) then that kind of behavior is not endearing. There lies the difference on how a lot of Buckeye fans will percieve Tate's exit vs. Burrow's exit.

My take on all of this is that I really don’t care why or how it came about but Tate’s chosen the right place/culture for him. Nowhere else prizes “style” over substance quite like Cryami. Tate’s clearly a wannabe gangster and he’s found a home. Burrow provided the template for how something like this should be handled. Tate was too much of a child to follow it. Hit the books, get the credits, work hard and develop and then be qb1 at tOSU or elsewhere as a grad. That was, clearly, too much for DJ T-Mart and his entitled need for instantaneous gratification. So be it.
DeMarco Murray (Oklahoma) and Ronnie Stanley (Notre Dame) both turned out okay. How have the other Gorman kids worked out at Ohio State and other big time programs?
He hasn't talked any shit on Ohio State as far as I know. I don't see a reason to hate on him regardless of what the staff told him.
Good grief. Penn State has eleven players in the transfer portal. And the fact we have one is a "bad look?"
