Who was in front of him - Haskins and (at the time) Burrow, who was coming behind him (Baldwin and probably Miller), his height, and his history of being a problem ego and spoiled. That's what has and will hinder him.

If Joe Burrow had stayed on the roster, Tate would not have seen the field.

Those things are your opinion. The only factual things that have limited him at OSU were the career GOAT followed by the season GOAT.

Most colleges hope he isn’t... he’s the Curt Flood of College athletics if he doesn’t have a valid reason to get the waiver, then the flood gates will hope and they will even up allowing free movement of players...

I get that coaches pay no penalties for leaving a school but the kids do ... I’m not sure how to fix that other than limiting their movement but to allow a buncha kids (they still are kids), prone to all of the things that kids do, complete freedom of movement will create chaos, because what if Tate doesn’t win the job this year then transfers again... just seems like you’ll have kids transferring every year because they dont like something... I guess i’m not ok with that...

I never saw anything in his play that said he deserved a starting role at Ohio State. I saw many things in his off-field behavior that said he did not.

Perhaps the most devastating thing that can happen to any youngster is to find out that he is not who he thinks he is. I think that day could lie in the very near future for Martell.
