QB Kyle McCord (transfer to Syracuse)

His QBR before yesterday ranked him in the top 6. His problem is that he is inexperienced and follows a series of QBs ranked in the top two in college football. That inexperience was front and center in the frustration that forced sideline interception in the end zone.

Wisconsin always has full grown grass-fed beef on the line. They are always going to get some penetration. I thought that line was better than I expected. They opened some good holes and got to their blocking assignments in the second level more than I expected. That said, McCord was running for his life too often.

I expect this guy to be ready for TSUN.

In the last game Joel Klatt announced, he stated McCords problem is his foot work... focusing on that since, I completely agree... balls way too high or way too low are functions of bad footwork... Day mentioned it yesterday too.... That SHOULD be easy fixes
Yes, was watching this in the last game and this game. Definitely correctable.

I have more concerns about his ball security and his tendency to make rash decisions in the pocket when under duress trying to dump the ball while still in the pocket. Sometimes just stepping up and/or eating it is the right thing.

100% second half completions with a TD. He’s our guy, whether we like it or not, and he’s holding up his end. Ball security issues? Yes, but he still only has three picks on the season. Accuracy issues? Yes, but he’s been baller in the second half of big wins. Madison at night is no joke and they’ve got a solid team. Getting him help from the RB room and from the OL and we’re in good shape.

Mental leads to the footwork. Kyle's anxiety in the pocket at times is palpable through the TV screen, as a result the footwork breaks down with it. That's when he starts pressing himself and making questionable, rushed/forced decisions.

Dude needs to meditate a bit, eat some fruit or something.
