QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

Dislocated his right thumb yesterday (and took several ridiculous shots before that). Dude was barely getting the snap before he was getting sacked. The Bears are pathetic.

He'll be out a minimum of 4 weeks (my guess) and could be for longer if he needs surgery.

Might be the best thing for him. We all know where this is going. Either he goes or the coaching staff goes,

I hope for JF's sake he can just get out of Chicago. I was so bummed for him when he got drafted because I was about certain what is happening to him would happen. A few teams come to mind, but I think New Orleans could be great for him. Ease his way in for Carr and get reunited with his favorite target in Olave.
I wouldn't mind Dolphins, Colts or San Francisco either.

Colts wouldn't need to change their offense if AR gets hurt.

They are kinda crap on offense talent.

When a team can't win, there's rarely ever a singular problem. Instead a priority list of problems that have impact ranging from the greatest to the least.

In this particular case, Mac and his decision making are the greatest problem the Pats face right now. They still love running the shit out of the ball and using 21 and 12 personnel. When it comes to talking about Justin moving onto another team that will do what it can to ease the transition and flush out the nightmares of CHI, I can't think of a better mentality than a Pats staff who runs the rock and protects the QB. It's a good foundational re-start for a QB who hasn't enjoyed being on a team that will prioritize and limit his hits.

I still think he'd do better with Mia and SF or Colts. Where he has defined reads with weapons that are open. He seems to have the same issue him and a lot of OSU QBs had before him. Aka unlike Stroud he doesn't really anticipate things. He's more of see it throw it. And I feel that works better with those O's scheming people open vs the Pats where he has to be on time

I have no idea where any of this was going. Regardless of the offense you play in, the route structures, language, play call strings, checks, personnel, pre & post snap reads, etc etc you have to deliver the ball on time within the offense, and/or be good at working outside intending structure when the play breaks down. But you can't make a living off the latter.

What you're saying equates to Justin struggling to consistently process information at NFL speed and needing elite weapons, or a QB-centric running game, to help compensate for that deficiency.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Best case scenario is that the Bears hire Lincoln Riley and draft Caleb. Let Justin get out of that shitshow and have a second chance somewhere else. He's not completely broken yet, but another season with the Bears would probably do it.
