QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

A gross overstatement. Fromm's yards and TD's against Alabama are the best performance against the Crimson tide since DeShaun Watson threw for 400+ against them in the CFB Final three years ago. Prior to that you have to go back to Cardale Jones in 2014 to see a similar statistical performance against the Tide.

You can be incredibly happy for Fields without shitting on his former teammate and a college sophomore. Justin isn't - take a lesson from him.
Just to add to that, before the bowl games, Fromm's passing efficiency rating was identical to that of Dwayne Haskins. Fromm wasn't a Heisman candidate because he threw the ball much less, but he wasn't exactly stinking things up.

I'm guessing being stuck behind Fromm has a lot more to do with his transfer. The incident gives him the ability to move without sitting out, which is a bullshit rule in a sport where a coach can quit a job three weeks after he took it, and immediately coach elsewhere. Fields shouldn't have to request a hardship, but I hope he gets it.

The coaching carousel is bs... but the transfer rules of CFB is one of the reasons i prefer it over NFL.
Majority of athletes commit to 1 school and play there. There's a sense of team that doesnt exist in the pros anymore... you're not going to turn around one day and discover Baerga, Belle, Vizquel, Lofton, Manny, Thome, etc have disappeared overnight.
And as shitty as the Temple situation is... let's not pretend like the kids dont have their time to flip either. Up til they sign, they have multiple programs eating out of their hands.
If they choose poorly, they choose poorly.

You’re right, he had a great game against Alabama, your coach failed you in that game. He was pretty average in the other two games though.

It must be posted.

So the quarterback room in 2007 was the guy with this chart and two guys who transferred to Georgia Southern and Delaware.

And yet Tressel went 11-2 and beat Michigan.

Had to follow that up with more about 2007.

That was the year OSU was 10-0 and rated #1 before hosting Illinois.

We were down 7 and punted to Illinois with over 8 minutes left. Juice Williams ran out the clock on a 16 play 42 yard drive. EIGHT MINUTES.

I was there and it was the most painful single drive I ever had to endure.

Nah. Todd Boeckman was the starter in 2007 and played very well. The Bauserbomb era was in 2011.

How the hell did we start kicking ourselves in the balls in this thread already?

It's a nice get, BUT what happens if someone from the girls basket weaving team calls him a name? He may have been highly prized but he still has to prove himself to me.
Regardless of what team she's on, call me the n word and it's on. Apparently trivial to you but it tends to be a big deal to those above ground.
