Thats not the point. The point is that quitting a team just because someone calls him a name leaves me wondering. I've been called racist names too but I never quit what I was involved in because of it.
And Oh yes, welcome aboard Mr Fields.

I'm guessing being stuck behind Fromm has a lot more to do with his transfer. The incident gives him the ability to move without sitting out, which is a bullshit rule in a sport where a coach can quit a job three weeks after he took it, and immediately coach elsewhere. Fields shouldn't have to request a hardship, but I hope he gets it.

In 2007 that was our quarterback room.

JT Barrett - holds just about every career QB record in the B1G
Dwayne Haskins - holds all the significant OSU and B1G single season QB records
Joe Burrow - starting QB for top ten ranked LSU
Tate Martell - #2 QB in the class of 2017
Justin Fields - #1 QB in the class of 2018

All of these will have hung out in that room in the space of two calendar years.

And Jack Miller - the #4 QB in the class of 2020 - is waiting in the wings.

This is just stupid good recruiting and development.

(Not Patterson, McCaffrey, Milton good - but good just the same.)
