QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

Well this sucks. Mostly because you expect more out of a guy like JT who is a captain and just starting to get get his momentum back from a year ago. This really hurts the team and I'm sure he knows that. Time to serve the punishment and see if he can win the job back when it's over.

Hopefully the team doesn't loose focus and backs Cardale 100% this coming week. I'd expect as much from them.

No one knows the details yet but what is known was that his driving was fine. He was seen avoiding a sobriety check point. Not pulled over for bad driving. Since he's under 21 it's possible he blew over the legal 0.02 with as little as two beers. I don't believe for one second that anyone would call a cab after two beers.

"Glad he didn't injure or kill anyone" C'mon man! Little bit of holier-than-thou hyperbole going on here.

The limit isn't even something to consider here from a legal standpoint. He is 20 years old. His legal limit is anything above 0.00. I keep hearing the calibration defense from people, and that could be feasible if he was 21+... But heis not. .

"Blasted out of his mind" might be a stretch, but it's not unreasonable to wonder if JT was driving because he perceived himself to be more sober than Cardale. Might get interesting if Urban benches them both. Shame is that JT is just about the last guy, behind Joshua Perry and maybe Zeke, that I'd expect this sort of poor judgment from.

Well if the cops released him to Jones, I would assume they would have noticed whether or not Jones is impaired.
Not before the suspension resulting from the $500 most likely cost OSU a win over the Texas team that went on to win the NC and quite possibly an undefeated season and NC berth as well. I'm not going to jump off a cliff or anything, but unless everybody else really closes ranks, goes us against the world, and rallies, a lot could be lost.

Notice what I said - his career turned out fine. He grew up to win a BCS bowl, undefeated against TTUN, win a Davey, win a Heisman, lead a team to the NC game, graduate, and become a model spokesman for Ohio State.

But sure, ignore all the good stuff...

In addition to this little incident, according to the story on Cleveland.com/sports Barrett was also involved in a little incident last December when both he and his girlfriend called the police from his apartment.
I might be going overboard but I think that Meyer should strip him of his captaincy also even though he was elected by the team..
