That's probably true. But look at just this board and the media in the last day or two. It would be a circus just focused on what decision should be made, and it would linger all season.I think things like that are what separates Meyer from John Cooper.
We've seen his type a thousand times. Comes in, shouts his opinions, and gets snotty with anyone who disagrees. They never last very long. Can you chill a bit? Your opinions are WAY over the top. ...JT16.
Yea, you're just wrong and everyone is agreeing with me. For your own sake, please just stop.Nope it was because he had very well below average arm strength for the NFL.
I think Urban may have pushed him to go now. Best for both parties. Makes Urbans life easier, and avoids a split in the locker room. The depth at QB is still as strong as anywhere in the country.
No, Jones makes Meyer's system run better. His arm strength and accuracy lengthens the field more than either Barrett and Miller do, and thus allows Elliott to run better. You don't think that Zeke magically happened to run off three straight 200+ yard games against top defenses (except Oregon's) by coincidence, do you? Tell me you think we were going to score 52 offensive points against Wisconsin or 35 offensive points against Alabama with Barrett at QB.I respect your opinion here but I disagree. The reason being that I believe JT will likely start again next year simply because he fits what Meyer does a bit better.
Sure. Not saying it's the same, but all I am saying is that him leaving may not be bad for the program. We are stacked at QB at its not always healthy to have QB controversy. Urban is clearly the better locker room guy, but he can't just be expected to squash all controversy. That would not be possible. So what? Are you really going to compare a completely different situation--under John Cooper no less--with what is happening nearly 20 years later?
