QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

Coaches just need to put Cardale in a position to be successful. I see the Offense testing Minny early on out in the perimeter in both the run and pass game and then going up top down the middle of the field. Part of CJ seeing success is putting BM in when in the red zone.

I think Cardale will have to throw for over 300 and multiple touchdowns to keep the starting gig. If he can play very well in a win though he'll most likely ensure that he'll get playing time going forward in most every game if not all of em.

Just get the Win first and let the other chips fall where they may.

I don't expect a pretty game because I dont see the coaches putting him in position to win. They didn't do it for the last 5-6 games. Why would they now?

Yeah kind of my feelings too unfortunately... they're probably going to do their best to take the game out of CJ'S hands...

If they're going to run CJ they need to run him north/ south and not side to side. They do that I'm confident CJ will make some plays in the throw game.

At receiver they are down Devin Smith, Evan Spencer, Dontre Wilson, Corey Smith, Noah Brown, Parris Campbell and Johnnie Dixon- so the talent is actually depleted to an excessive degree right now in terms of guys to throw to.

Pretty much the only one who we can really trust to go up and get a contested ball is Thomas at this point. We have a bunch of guys that excel at running by people but not at going up and making a contested catch. Which means Cardale being late and tending to under throw not to miss a wide open guy results in a lot of incompletions on what should be catches or PI.

He is simply not the same player he was the last three games of last season. Not sure why. Maybe it's because Hermon is gone. We know the talent is there so???
No, he's the exact same player he was last 3gms, it's just that the last 3gms, the opposing DCs didn't have much film to dissect his game. Now every opponent in the nation had 3gms to watch after the NC. While fans jumped up and down, Cardale tweeted stars and lived it up, DCs all over the B1G and our OOC schedule watched how inaccurate Cardale is/was, as well as his inability to read defenses. Fans used the common myth that his arm opened up the run game, and that EzE had his biggest runs due to teams mainly focusing on the deep ball from Cardale. Now that DCs are literally daring Cardale to throw deep and find open intermediate routes, by disguising defenses they're seeing he can't find open men and holds the ball too long. He threw some prayers to Devin and we got spoiled, and now the excuses is not only that lost Devin(our supposed only deep threat), but the lose of so many WRs hurts Cardale. In the Rutgers game I saw JT with also a depleted WR corp find open men time after time, heck when JT was the red zone QB he found the open man, Cardale has not and has been easily confused by the defense. Heaven help him if he thinks the defense in the NFL is easier...

Marshall, Thomas, Miller, Samuel and Elliott is plenty enough talent to throw to. Everyone of these guys will be playing in the NFL.
