QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

I just don't think Cardale gets it. He's still showing so many signs of maturity and his twitter account is a clear sign. It's one thing for idiotic fans to tweet players(that in itself is a special kind of stupid), but for the player to address fans is another level of maturity and ignorance, IMO. Why would you let some fanboys upset to where you need to tweet at them in such a public arena. Leaders don't do this, players who want to play in the NFL shouldn't have to be treated like children and have their social media accounts suspended during the season because the coach says so.
I see zero wrong with his two tweets...zero.

That's fine. I see a player tweeting fans, for what reason? Does he expect to win the twitter war? If this were a player on another team, we'd be laughing and ridiculing(a la Texas). Whether you're tweeting against your own team or worse yet, your fan base, what is the point of doing it?

Not if those were the tweets...

I have zero issue with tweets from players after a game telling the general population of Buckeye Nation to chill. Lee, Bosa, Bell, and Powell have all done it in classy ways.

I do however hate when our players engage in Twitter wars with people individually.

Edit: this re-tweet was okay IMO. I've had playersome and Shelly RT or favorite something I've said to them before (good stuff). This RT was uplifting and a good representation of Buckeye Nation.

Yea, but I'm pretty sure Rome did some damage in 5 weeks. What have YOU done Car-Dale?!? Hmmm?
Rome was already built as far as I'm concerned. Haha

I really hope CJ can just avoid the turnovers. It always makes me nervous in these scenarios where we will be playing at home and a QB who's turnover prone. He will get booed off the field if he throws 2 picks. It's the sick double standard we have at osu and no osu player deserves that.

To me no osu player deserves to be booed.

Sometimes being a leader means combating stupidity in a meaningful and classy way. Cardale has done this.

No college player ever deserves to be booed. I was at a Notre Dame v USC game and listened to the "fans" boo Ron Paulus. It was a shame.

College players work too hard and spend too much time away from class to get booed.

If you want to boo, go to a pro wrestling show. I remember the Bellisari crap that went on in the late 90s, that really formed this opinion for me. At the time I was roughly his age, it seemed harsh that "grown men" were booing an amateur athlete.
