QB Antonio Henton (transfer to Ga. Southern and FT. Valley St.)

.....keep an eye on Henton.
What a blue ball .. Robbie didn't look to happy after he came out of the game that first time

Boeckman looks fine to me, a few beautiful balls and very well played second half.. in the first half I was wondering (before I remembered who was coaching the bucks) if there might be a switch, and if so who is really next in line for the offense?

Robbie was in for thefirst two plays, which were a fumbled snap and MoWells run into a pile. After that it was 3rd and long so Henton came in to run that QB draw off tackle.

Next series Robbie came in for a series I think before Henton replaced him.

I think JT had Robbie in there and then whenever it became 3rd and long he threw Henton in there specifically for the "Dual Threat" ability giving Washington something else to look for(though robbie is not a bad runner by any means).

IMHO Antonio moved ahead of RS last Saturday.
RS has looked shaky, while AH has looked cool and in command.
The few passes AH has thrown have been crisp and on target and he has shown he is a running threat.
Plus, Todd threw a lot of balls late and without enough steam in the first half. He could (should?) have been picked at least twice. He was better in the second half.
I would want a guy like AH ready to go just in case. I think I would start giving AH substantial pt starting with NW (assuming he knows enough of the playbook).
I don't have a favorite among the three, that is just what I see.
So don't ding me - its only an opinion.

while we need Henton to have some playing time... I think giving reps to the back up QB will be over until the games are well in hand. I think the coaches have given the offense totally to Todd.. I wanted Henton to be our QB starting this year off though, but Todd has done a great job and Henton will now have to wait till 2009

I havent seen enough of Henton to know if he is good enough to go to the #2 spot. If you people in the know here think so or have heard more than I would just have to believe you. That is why I come here. To find out what you know.:tongue2:

Ya but Robbie didn't play though. Unless I just missed it, but I don't believe he did.
yes he did. he came in, fumbled the snap on first down, then handed off on a draw that got blown up on second. Robbie then was pulled and Antonio played third down.

then he came in the next series for one snap before giving it up to Antonio again.

hehe you say that so boldy as if it's set in stone and nothing could ever happen. I'm sure most thought Troy would never start a game at tOSU after the first half Zwick had vs Marshall. 09' is too far to call, the end of this season is too far to call imo.

I agree with Palm though,Henton is poised out there and looks like the number two quarterback.

Very good point. If TB has a shitty game, if 2 of those are picks, and we are down considerably at halftime, or we lose a game, who's number 2?

I would ideally like to see Henton or Schoenhoft get the nod over Boeckman and start for the next three years, and then have Pryor take over for the next three. That way, we have stability at the most important position for the next six. There, I said. Means it probably won't happen... Damn...
