Yeah, this has been going on for several years now. Texas A&M got a huge bump a few years back with that opening game win over South Carolina.

Tennessee hanging in there at 14 after their huge win. Looking at that top 25, I can't think of another team on the list that Tennessee could beat.

Heard a funny thing on the radio(I live in Florida) about how the SEC went 7-7 overall but they beat 3 ranked teams and no other conference beat 3 ranked teams. All I could think was 'yep, those 3 ranked teams aren't even ranked anymore' idiots..

Your players wear an SEC patch on their jerseys and they won. Pretty sure that's all that's required to vault you guys up the polls.

Eh.....I just realized this is kind of what we want in the polls. I complain about the ridiculousness of the preseason polls having an impact on where teams end up. Finally they're willing to show that the preseason polls aren't that meaningful anymore. This might be a good thing.

2 or 3 years ago, there was no way in hell they would drop LSU 16 spots for a two point loss. They would have found every excuse under the sun for keeping them in the top 15, possibly even top 10.
Although there were some teams that made some significant jumps in the polls (some absolutely deserving of that jump), I welcome them holding SEC teams a little more accountable for lackluster performances.

Keep in mind however... they lost to a BIG team... so clearly they are terrible... had they lost to vanderbilt they would have only dropped half as far since then it would have been a quality loss
