Preseason and Regular Season Polls (2016)

My only issue is we're behind Oklahoma, but it's not surprising having seen these polls for years.

I almost make that comment; however, using the same logic shouldn't Ped State be ahead of us? In addition, after the loss to us Okie rattled off 10 straight wins including their bowl game.

Ped State has 1 more loss than us. Oklahoma has the same record.

I wouldn't give voters that much credit. We got dinged, and deservedly so, for one of the worst bowl performances of the entire season. I doubt Penn State and Michigan pulling out their games out late would've done anything for us.

USC and Washington being 3 & 4 tells me that Washington benefited from USC barely beating the Peds. I mean, nobody expected Washington to be competitive against Alabama, but still.

But ESPN said they were the hottest team at the end of the season! Pay no attention to all the sub .500 teams on the back half of their schedule!
