If it happens, I will be picking up a 'pool Dempsey kit.

This is coming from a United supporter, but if you look at that new Warrior kit for Liverpool, it's not half bad.

Not sure if I'm a fan of the collars on those or not. I like the yellow/gold lettering/logos though.

Everton's new Nike away shirt isn't half bad (it has a collar too). Tim Howard probably won't have the camo keeper shirt anymore though (now that it's Nike).

We're in the very (very) early stages, but Spurs bidding over/against the Gunners for Hugo Lloris isn't bad. The other options are a 41-year-old Brad Friedel and whatever Heurelho Gomes is.

Spurs will have to add 5-7million more on their bid to get him, but that shouldn't be a problem (estimated starting bid was 10).

I read there was a bit of controversy over those new kits because they moved the Hillsborough stuff from the crest to the back of the shirt, and didn't consult any of the survivors or their families.

New Spurs kit. First year with Under Armor after switching from Puma:

I love these, and will probably be buying one of each. I'm glad they went all-white on the home kit instead of having blue shorts, and the all-navy away kit is much better than last year's bluish-purple.

I liked last year's third kit, but it looks like it has been ditched in favor some pseudo-Newcastle barcode thing...

FIFA to probe EPL Spot-Fixing

I thought this was common knowledge and brushed off, because I've heard these accusations since the mid-90's. Good luck proving them.

http://edition.cnn.com/2012/07/11/s...g-football/index.html?hpt=isp_c1&sct=sc_t2_a3

(CNN) -- World soccer's governing body FIFA is to examine a retired footballer's claims spot-fixing was rife in the English Premier League.

Former Southampton defender Claus Lundekvam told a Norwegian television channel he and other players in the English top flight had made money out of betting on minor events in a game such as the first throw-in.

To be honest, I think FIFA should worry about corruption within its own organization and bribery for World Cup bids (in addition to spot-fixing allegations).

Ledley King announced his retirement this morning. :(

It's a shame that his knees betrayed him. The way he was able to play at such a high level for so long without being able to train was nothing short of amazing. For the brief glimpses where he was healthy he was one of the best.
