Predictions for 2014 season

I'm with everyone here. Look, our line is better off now then 2012 when Urban took over. Our RBs are deep, our WRs are full of home run hitters, and our defense will be elite.

Sure games like Va Tech and MSU just got incredibly more interesting. However we are still in better shape now then when we went undefeated in 2012

Agree with everything besides the defense. Potentially? Yes. "Will" be elite? I sure hope so but definitely would not take that as fact.

E!SPiN has written us off for the year.
It's gonna be fun watching them eat crow.

Was just thinking the same thing. They're saying we're even out of the B10 race. Even if Brax is out for the whole season (no medical yet), I can't see that. The conference overall is down... only 1 team scares me and they always drop 1-2 games even when they're elite... we could lose to them and still go to the CCG against... Nebraska or Wiscy? That's still in the cards.

Definitely need the LBs, DBs, and WRs to step up this year though. I think the DBs have shown real improvement... cautious but optimistic about the other two position groups.

Also wondering if it's not a chance to see some trickeration with a skill player taking the snap.

By the way, I've already received countless "condolences" and "sorry to hear" and "sucks for your season" and even laughter about the Buckeyes following this news.

I simply replied with these words.

Cannot WAIT for the Buckeyes to hit the field. People don't know, but they will.

Couldn't agree more. Some fans of other teams seem to be looking ahead and thinking they have now already won. My expectations are not changing though. This is Ohio State.

I posted this in another thread. I think Hackenberg is the only opposing QB that I would definitely take over JT for this season. Sure, Connor Cook is experienced but we don't know how good JT can be and he does fit our offensive scheme. Every other QB we face is at best a coin toss with JT. I'll take the rest of our roster over any other opposing roster and our coach over any other opposing coach. So why on earth is it a foregone conclusion to say we lose the B1G? I don't buy it. We still have a fighting chance.

Hell yea we have a fighting chance. Reminds me of when Bruce Wayne climbed the wall without the rope (Braxton being the safety rope) ALL THE EXTRA MOTIVATION WE NEED.

Side note since I'm super hero movie geek. Someone totally needs to do a spin off for next year as Braxton coming back like Bruce Wayne did in the last batman video

ditto that. Puts more pressure on the OL. JT or Cardale WON'T have the experience to 'go'. The OL will have to hold to give the QB (whoever it is) more time to decide which play to make. Lookit Alabama. The QB was merely average, but the OL and Rbs and WRs were exceptional. (Dare I mention Krenzel in 2002?) to make good decisions and protect the ball. If the OL solidifies early., then tOSU will be in every game. Plenty of playmakers, just get them the ball and let them make plays. Easy to say, harder yet to do. Go Bucks!

no idea who, but someone is going to run for 1500 yards or so.

better yet, someone else will run for 1000.

has osu ever had 2 1000 yard backs on the same team?

sure they are the only team with a running back named brandon schnittkner and another named branden joe, but have they ever had the double 1000 yard duo. kind of like mack and byner without the horrible fumble and whatnot.
