The one guy over there makes a good point about this year being the last year of the COB and maybe rookie salaries will start to go down after this year.

They seem to be very unhappy with JoePa's decision to stay.
Lot of speculation that LJ Sr will indeed leave Happy Valley...

I realize that there are additional reasons that a college football player "declares early for the draft"; however, the main reason is the guaranteed money that a 1st round draft pick gets.

Currently there are over 32 underclassmen who declared early (and that doesn't count the seniors in the draft). There are only 32 picks in the first round. Therefore, my guess is, that there are going to be several really disappointed ex-college football players come 25/26 April 2009. :(
