He's a PF in the pros. Pro PFs primarily operate out of the pick and roll or post up in the NBA. He's done both, and has the skills (footwork, great hands, high basketball IQ) to make up for the fact he wasn't used primarily in the pick and roll in college.

Yes. Lottery refers to any team that doesn't make the playoffs.

I think it's too early to tell. He was the best low post scorer in college basketball, has a great basketball IQ, has the strength to get position in the post, has amazing hands, is a great rebounder and is pretty advanced from a skills perspective. He lacks size, explosiveness or quickness and as you point out, he struggled against length at the college level. I think it really depends on how willing he is to work on his body and his game. Some scouts love the potential, including my boy David Thorpe. Others see Glen Davis.

Thanks for staying for a second year and leading the Buckeyes to the Final Four, Jared.

Two comments. First, Sully will benefit in the NBA from the refs calling very few offensive fouls on post players bumping their defender before getting off their shot. Jared will become a more effective inside scorer against taller defenders when he can use that backside to knock guys off-balance before taking his shot. The importance of that difference between college and the NBA has not been adequately noted in forecasting Jared's effectiveness in the NBA.

Second - way to go, NCAA and the APR rules. Jared makes a promise to his mother to complete his degree, but the first thing he has to do is withdraw from Spring classes in order to avoid tOSU getting hit with APR penalties.

I have a (somewhat general) question along these lines. How will Ohio State's impending switch to semesters affect the allowable withdrawal date vis-a-vis avoiding an APR hit when it comes to early NBA draft entrants?

I think you're crazy. Zero percent chance that Sullinger falls out of the top 10. NBA size. A great PF prospect. Polished around the rim on offense. Decent range. Rebounding ability. Vertical leap isn't everything.

I looked at maybe a half dozen draft projections. He wasn't in the top 15 in any of them. We'll see. I hope the projections are all wrong, but my eyes tell me they are right.
