PF Jared Sullinger (2x 1st Team ALL B1G & All American, Anyang KGC, S.Korea)

I have to believe that the injuries early in the year scared him. He stared the potential of a career ending injury in the face and will likely take what he can get now. I don't blame him a bit, he has represented the University well and will continue to do so going forward. He has clearly dropped from a top 3 pick from last year to who knows where this year but he'll do well with any opportunity given.

:slappy:

He had back spasms.

In 76 career Ohio State games Sullinger was a DNP for two of them, and the second was reported to be precautionary.

I swear, every day Sullinger's "injury history" gets exaggerated further and further, like the Legend of Chuck Norris.

His one leg is a little bit shorter than his other so long-term I do not see his back problems getting better especially playing basketball. NBA GM's have to take a look at that.

And you don't think that missing 5-10% of the season caught his attention in the slightest?

When the injury initially occurred there was talk of back spasms, depending on sevarity, can be debilitating for days, weeks, months, careers. so laugh all you want but you are ignorant if you don't think an injury can get the attention of a person whos career depends on physical health.

Fortunately for us and sully the injuries did turn out to be minor and had little if any impact to his game and season beyond those two games.

The injuries he has are a lot more serious than simply back spasms and I'll leave it at that.

They go by a lot faster than you think...:(

Good Luck at your next step, Jared. Some great memories made at your hometown University.

That hometown University comment is what makes it so sweet when they are here but tough when they leave. You've seen them grow all throughout HS and college. Gonna miss the Mayor. Unbelievable 2 years.

Good luck Sully!

This is the right choice. He'll get picked by a team on the cusp of making the playoffs and he'll have an immediate and longterm impact at the PF position. I don't think he'll be an All Star, but he'll start in the league for 10+ years.
