His one leg is a little bit shorter than his other so long-term I do not see his back problems getting better especially playing basketball. NBA GM's have to take a look at that.
Wasn't the short leg problem the same thing Larry Bird had?
Investigation shows Bird had a disc problem, My Bad...

Great article. Talks about Jared's commitment and what he brings to the table.

If this part doesn't make you smile, you're probably not a Buckeye fan.
(quote from Jared's father)
Quote:
"Let me tell you something," Satch Sullinger said. "I will never forget this. After J.J. and Ohio State lost to Georgetown in the NCAA Tournament down in Dayton (in March 2006), J.J. came back out on the floor after he was dressed. His career was over and he knew he would never play for Ohio State again.

"He came back out on the court and had tears in his eyes. He hugged his brother and the first thing he said was, 'If this coaching staff offers you a scholarship, you better take it.'

"He said, 'I love them and they are the greatest thing to happen to me outside of my family.'"

"For my son to feel that way about that coaching staff, why would you not want another son to experience that? They were the No. 1 team in the country. They got to the national championship game and finished No. 2. Everything is just good there."

Thanks to Sully! And also thanks for making the decision, and hopefully pulling out of class, both before Monday (when it would have hurt the APR). Assuming that's true (about withdrawing from classes), that's just another in a long line of gifts he gave us.

I thought going pro did not affect APR?

You get a point for returning and a pt for doing so in good academic standing. Someone going pro gets 1 pt if he leaves between semesters or quarters. Osu got killed because not only were guys leaving early but also were abandoning courses in the middle of the term leaving behind 0 for 2s.

I think you're crazy. Zero percent chance that Sullinger falls out of the top 10. NBA size. A great PF prospect. Polished around the rim on offense. Decent range. Rebounding ability. Vertical leap isn't everything.

I've been seeing a lot of 11, FWIW (which is still lottery, right?)

It will show NBA teas that he can indeed play power forward...no team is going to waste a high draft pick on him for a position he has never played.

He's a PF in the pros. Pro PFs primarily operate out of the pick and roll or post up in the NBA. He's done both, and has the skills (footwork, great hands, high basketball IQ) to make up for the fact he wasn't used primarily in the pick and roll in college.
