Peyton Hillis (official thread)

The best thing about the Hillis-Quinn deal was the Browns got the Broncos to throw in a draft pick, too.

The boy genius in Denver lost Brandon Marshall, traded Hillis for Quinn and traded up to draft Tebow in the first round, not to mention the Cutler trade.

After starting his coaching career 6-0 he's gone 4-14. Methinks he'll be fired after this season.

I was withyou until you mentioned the Cutler trade. You'll never convince me that losing Cutler isn't an upgrade.

But it is nice that Cleveland got some revenge on Denver.

Denver's offense was ridiculous with Cutler and Marshall. Chicago might have been the worst fit possible. Orton has been very good, but Cutler > Orton in Denver's offense.

imo

Regarding him losing the ball, I thought exactly the same thing before brilliant Phil Simms said it during the broadcast. Hillis's upper arms are almost too big for him to really cradled the ball nicely. I have never seen that problem before but I will take the occasional fumble for the effort that he gives.

Hillis now has 11 rushing touchdowns on the year and has joined Hall-of-Famers Jim Brown and Leroy Kelly as the only Browns to reach that number in a season. On his achievement, Hillis told reporters, "It's absurd. Those guys are legends and I'm nobody." -CBSSportline

I love this dude SOO much. Rare to find one a days.

Well, he's not a legend yet but he's most certainly somebody. The entire city of Cleveland and a lot of people across the country are proud to call themselves Browns fans because of his play. Not sure how long his career will be (I give him 5 years) but he's on his way to becoming my all-time favorite Brown.

/Love that he is staying humble.

was named to the AFC pro bowl as a reserve...but now news is coming out that maurice jones drew needs knee surgery which means hillis will get the nod...the browns other rep is joe thomas for the pro bowl

if you are truly a browns fan and a hillis fan then you will not vote for hillis...the madden curse and cleveland curse combined = hillis spending the season on the IR...anyone who votes for hillis can have fun staring at the cover while hillis is on the sidelines rehabbing a torn MCL
