Haha. Same thread.
Let's figure out which team embarrasses the Big Ten more:
Since 1993 season (the year they joined the Big Ten) one team is 14-9 in bowl games, with what probably should be considered a national championship, and.... not much else. When the BCS started, they went to 2 BCS bowl games, winning 1 of them. The rest in that time period were Outback Bowl, Capital One Bowl, Alamo Bowl, or no bowl at all. I count 6 seasons in the BCS era that they did not go to a bowl game, and 2 of those were because they were ineligible. I count 3 NY6 bowl games in the playoff era, winning 2 of them (one of them was against Memphis). They're 1-3 in non-NY6 bowl games in the playoff era.
In the same time frame, the other team is 16-13 in bowl games, has 2 national championships and has played for 3 others. In the BCS era, they went 5-4 in BCS games, including 1-2 in national championship games. I'm losing count so those might not be right. In the playoff era, they have made it to a NY6 bowl game all 8 years, going 4-0 in non-playoff games, 2-2 in first round playoff games, and 1-1 in national championship games. The only year they did not go to a bowl game was because they had magic tattoos that were illegal back then.
Don't tell me Ohio State embarrasses the Big Ten and Penn State doesn't.
