Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threads/auburn-game-officiating-crew.323558/#post-6134529

Once again we got screwed by our own officals...officials... many non calls or bad calls
Phantom holding on Dixon
No target call on Clifford
Bad spot on the non target call on Cliff
2 Phantom holding calls on the o line
2 non holding calls on AU o line
Many more...

I know all message boards do this. Probably even BuckeyePlanet, too. But people post their own version of fax and evidents and expect everyone else to believe them.
In this case, "The Big Ten hates us!!! See??? The officials are doing a bad job!!!" Then simply list a bunch of without any real specifics, and BAM: You're a master debater.

Haha. Same thread.
We should select some other league's officials for an away game sometime just to have the media focus on why PSU doesn't want big 10 officials.

The truth is that PSU isn't the only team jobbed by big 10 officiating. It is typically whichever team playing Ohio St or Michigan that gets the shaft. That is part of the reason why those teams often embarass the big 10 in bowl games. They aren't getting bailed out like they normally would in conference.

Let's figure out which team embarrasses the Big Ten more:

Since 1993 season (the year they joined the Big Ten) one team is 14-9 in bowl games, with what probably should be considered a national championship, and.... not much else. When the BCS started, they went to 2 BCS bowl games, winning 1 of them. The rest in that time period were Outback Bowl, Capital One Bowl, Alamo Bowl, or no bowl at all. I count 6 seasons in the BCS era that they did not go to a bowl game, and 2 of those were because they were ineligible. I count 3 NY6 bowl games in the playoff era, winning 2 of them (one of them was against Memphis). They're 1-3 in non-NY6 bowl games in the playoff era.

In the same time frame, the other team is 16-13 in bowl games, has 2 national championships and has played for 3 others. In the BCS era, they went 5-4 in BCS games, including 1-2 in national championship games. I'm losing count so those might not be right. In the playoff era, they have made it to a NY6 bowl game all 8 years, going 4-0 in non-playoff games, 2-2 in first round playoff games, and 1-1 in national championship games. The only year they did not go to a bowl game was because they had magic tattoos that were illegal back then.

Don't tell me Ohio State embarrasses the Big Ten and Penn State doesn't.

The way some of these people obsess over officiating makes me laugh. There are what, 7 on-field officials who are trying to watch 22 players? There are bound to be missed calls. It's a part of the game. The officials are out there trying their best to see everything and call the game as fairly as possible. For the Pedster cult to constantly bitch about them is simply hilarious to me. Funny to me in that for a group who spent so much time publicly discrediting and insulting Jer-Bear's victims (or whatever you want to call them), they sure try really hard to pretend to be the victim when it comes to officiating......

You......uh.......left out one more embarrassing thing for Penn St. And by embarrassing I mean criminally abhorrent.

...just went through and read some of their comments. Most of them don't have even a basic understanding of the rules and yet they feel knowledgeable enough to argue about what should or shouldn't be a penalty.

You're right and that was on purpose. I was only talking about on-field performance during the bowl games. The topic was about how Ohio State (and *ichigan, but I didn't care about defending them) embarrasses the conference in bowl games. I didn't need to bend the constraints of the claim in order to win that argument.

I had to laugh today when I spoke with my Auburn loving nephew. He had the nerve to say Auburn was looking ahead to SEC play because they know they only have 4 or 5 good games in them so they can’t afford to waste one on an OOC foe

they simply will never admit to a northern team being better …..they just pivot to losing the battle to win the war

pathetic
