Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

A few things.

First, I always thought this was a criminal matter, and wanted more charges and people put in fucking jail instead of taking wins away. Retroactive punishments and just BS anyways, boo fucking hoo, they took away wins, when in reality criminal charges should have seen the old bastard spend his last days rotting in a cell being known as an accomplice to a child rapist.

Second, and this is what's funny to me. I thought the NCAA did Penn State a favor by punishing them. This meant the university could take the punishment, the NCAA were the bad guys instead of the school having to find a way to police themselves, and never being enough. So all this fighting for the wrongs done to them, and doing everything they can to reverse the punishment does nothing but further the claim that Penn State cares about football more than anything. Anything, kids, students, the law.

It also makes you think twice about anyone sporting Penn State football gear, who in the minds of many will be seen as supporters of pedophiles.

So good job Penn State, the very slim chance you had of ever recovering from this is gone. You have just given the entire world the middle finger and now you have no one to blame but yourselves. It was all the fault of the university regardless, however, it could be shadowed by what the NCAA had done to you, now you don't even have that.

The Cult's latest rage is against their own athletic director, Sandy Barbour. Barbour had the nerve to call the "409" stickers on the hockey helmets "inappropriate and insensitive" on Twitter. The Cult apparently longs for the good old says when the A.D.'s job description included covering for Jerry ass-raping kids on campus. Already over 100 posts bitchng about the A.D. calling "409" stickers "inappropriate and insensitive."

The old job description was that you were the one time ball boy on the football team with no job experience and one day you woke up and found yourself as the AD at Ped State despite your lack of qualifications. Then you spend the rest of your career indebted to the one man that made that happen - Joe Ped. No culture problem there.

Going back to the 409 on the hockey helmets - isn't that weird? Do other teams / sports do that? Does Ohio State hockey recognize the 1960 basketball championship? Does the swim team wear anything to comemorate a past football season? It's different when they celebrate the national championship the next day at halftime of the basketball game, or parading the big ten champion teams at halftime of a football game. But does that basketball court have past Heisman winners?

But that 409 on the hockey helmets is weird to me. It tells me that there is a football-first culture on campus.

The Cult is really going to town on A.D. Sandy Barbour over the her comments about the 409 stickers. There are currently 12 different threads on the front page of BWI ripping Barbour and/or calling for her to be fired.

Here is a thread with her e-mail address in the subject line:

Pnnylion sends an e-mail to the "Man-Thing" and tells her she needs to "apologize to the Penn State community."

Dude, Joesus said "Let there be hockey at Penn State," and lo there appeareth a hockey team where before there had been none. Of course they must commemorate the Holy Wins.

I really do not understand the complete sense of entitlement that they feel. It astounds me how they seem to think that just being an alumni member of a school gives them carte blanche to question every single comment or action made by the current employees, and then demand (and fully expect) a formal apology whenever they feel slighted.

I am an alumni of a couple different schools, but I don't feel the need to dissect every comment, tweet or BoT agenda, looking for things to be upset about either. (Of course, none of the schools I went to have permitted their employees to rape little boys in the shower, so there's that......)

Joesus single handedly turned a small, rural farm college into an international research university. Every room should have his portrait, and every class should begin with a brief reading of his wisdom.
