Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Many good people at Ped State will be drowned out by the "cultists".
They believe everything they have fought for has been the verified as truth.
That's what makes them a cult.
Hopefully, Big Ten road crowds and national media can remind them of how they are wrong.

And I'm hopeful that the trials of the Penn State administration will dig up some ugly dirt to throw on Paterno's grave.
But, there is no justice in Pennsylvania when the state is dominated by people with connections to Ped State.

Can anyone tell Bushwood what is "wrong" with PSU athletes displaying "409" stickers. The quote marks are his and he would like to know. The answer, apparently, is that there is nothing "wrong" with throwing a middle finger to the victims or whatever you want to call them.

MontereyLion: "Absolutely nothing is wrong with it."

9Fold: "Obviously nothing is wrong with it. Barbour is an idiot."

psu00: "Basicaly it is a difference in outlook. Nothing is wrong with it."

doctornick: "There is literally absolutely zero reason why a PSU athletic team should not celebrate "409" if they wish to."

PSU-Knocker: "It went over well to many including me. If you think it was too soon, how long should we wait?"

Donn (PSU80): "Sandy wants you to be patient until she and the BOT tell you it is okay to celebrate the accomplishments of Joe Paterno. Just don't hold your breath while you are waiting."

BarryPSU: "The culture problem is not now nor has it ever been with Penn State football. The culture problem is with those that generated anti Penn State propaganda and those that jumped on the bandwagon that now make up an anti Penn State tainted culture. "

Bob78: "Won't go over well? It goes over very well with anyone who has been paying attention to how the initial narrative - especially the Freeh nonsense - has been ripped to shreds and who feels the loyalty to PSU to stand for what is right."

1. Yes, the #1 thing on the current AD's mind should be the win total of an old, dead football coach. Before any action, comment and thought is made, consideration should be made to Joesus, and how his legacy might be affected.
2. I don't know how big business like PedState athletics work, but in my little corner of the world, it's a commonly accepted policy that you should at least discuss things with your boss before doing something that might affect the entire organization.
3. This just goes to show that the AD position at PedState has never been a real position of power. Joesus ran that school, and never had a real boss.

Keep in mind that the hockey team is also the pet project and the recipient of ped state's largest donation ever (for sports not academics, mind you CULTURE!), and I'm sure Barbour heard from this guy about his pet sport not to mention the cultists on the BoT. She's an outsider, so I wonder how long she'll stay before getting run off or hitting the eject button.

Damn the NCAA for giving confirmation to that freak show.

What's next? Are they going to apologize to the cult? Is Freeh going to issue a new report exonerating Joeped? Is Sandusky going to be released from prison and given a Award of Merit from the PA governor? Will PedState and Jaybot sue the NCAA for defamation of character and be awarded a guhzillion dollars in damages? Or, maybe an edict from the US Congress ordering every citizen over 21 to have mandatory 409 tattoos?

There is no fucking justice in this world because it is populated by (apparently) massive numbers of unjust people. God help the surviving victims (the REAL ones). I don't know how they stand it.

There are a couple of cultists who've left the hive mind and attempted to argue JoePed's case on Rutgers' Rivals board. It's hilarious to see who out of their element they are once out of the echo chamber and protection of McAndrew's ban trigger.

That Rutgers thread is awesome, especially the posts from KidTwist whining that he is bringing "FACTS" but no one wants to listen. I have noticed that the reply from Pedsters toward Rutgers is often simply "13-10." Like clockwork, a Pedster shows up and simply drops the "13-10" score without any other contribution. Even by Pedster logic, it seems bizarre that the retort to the claim that PSU has an out of control, football first culture is by dropping the score of a football game in the thread.

A few things.

First, I always thought this was a criminal matter, and wanted more charges and people put in fucking jail instead of taking wins away. Retroactive punishments and just BS anyways, boo fucking hoo, they took away wins, when in reality criminal charges should have seen the old bastard spend his last days rotting in a cell being known as an accomplice to a child rapist.

Second, and this is what's funny to me. I thought the NCAA did Penn State a favor by punishing them. This meant the university could take the punishment, the NCAA were the bad guys instead of the school having to find a way to police themselves, and never being enough. So all this fighting for the wrongs done to them, and doing everything they can to reverse the punishment does nothing but further the claim that Penn State cares about football more than anything. Anything, kids, students, the law.

It also makes you think twice about anyone sporting Penn State football gear, who in the minds of many will be seen as supporters of pedophiles.

So good job Penn State, the very slim chance you had of ever recovering from this is gone. You have just given the entire world the middle finger and now you have no one to blame but yourselves. It was all the fault of the university regardless, however, it could be shadowed by what the NCAA had done to you, now you don't even have that.

A major part of the problem is that Paterno died. He gave his Sermon on the Balcony and went quietly into the night to wash away all pedo sins.
He never had to go to court and answer the tough questions. He didn't have to get grilled by prosecutors or defense in Sandusky's trial. Instead he got to die as a Saint and Martyr. Fuck that piece of shit coward.
The NCAA sanction did 1 thing very effectively imo - it definitively took away his legacy in a case where there was no other means to do so.
The Legacy which is at the very heart and center of Penn State's Culture Problem. By reinstating his wins, the NCAA has reinstated that Legacy and confirmed the Culture problem. Take it all away and the Cult would've died out in a couple decades (literally). Now it'll continue unabated into the distant future.

The $60 mil was all about leverage and getting the NCAA to court and making Mark Emmert blink first. The real goal was always the wins. They just needed cover story to make their $60 mil case sound credible. Best guess is that after a a few rounds of court losses Emmert realized he had no shot at winning these cases in PA and caved in.

It begs the question why he didn't wait for final judgment and appeal into the Circuit Court though. District judges are notorious (at least in my limited layman experience following a few cases on PACER) for making ludicrously bad calls anyway - especially on local hot button issues - and letting the Circuits slap them on the wrist and make the correct call.

And finally there's this from Sandusky's wife, posted on the "Framing Paterno" website:
"I am thankful that a small but significant part of this great injustice has been rectified with the
restoration of Joe Paterno's win record. Joe and Penn State did not cover anything up because
there was simply nothing to cover up. Hopefully, as the media's false narrative continues to
unravel, more people will realize this obvious reality."

Actually, and I know this is superfluous to the issue, showering together makes perfect sense. The boy was under aged and did not have a drivers license. Therefore he rode to Laush with Sandusky. They worked out together and then showered together. What would you do? Would you say, I'll wait on you to shower, then you wait for me to shower and then I'll drive you home?

Actually, it makes perfect sense to shower together rather than to have each to wait on the other and get home even later.

That one is fucking disturbing.
