Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

The Paterno family grabbed a lot of things from JoPa's office before Freeh ever got there. And the E-mails? Gone. Of course, every cultist knows that "Joe didn't know how to do E-mails!"
And the whole fantasy about Sandusky getting off would vindicate JoPa is a sick reality of that bunch.

You do have to give the guy a little bit of credit - he was a master of covering his tracks. Like you said, nothing ever in writing, no email chains, no witnesses. Even the upper-level administrators seem to have gone out of their way to never use his name when discussing him (like maybe they were following his orders or something...).

He knew his house of cards was going to topple at some point and did everything he could to disassociate himself from anyone who he thought could make him look bad.

Caesar once said the' "Those that know me will do my bidding!" or something to that effect as a way to wash his hands of murder.

There was also the whole Stalinist fake modesty about him too. All those factories, schools and towns were named after him because of the spontaneous demands of the workers, not Stalin's desire.

Paterno never wanted the statue (then why did his family shit the bed when it was taken down). Paterno never wanted the library named after him (then have the donation agreement state that it would be named after someone else). Had the scandal remained buried, I'm sure that there would have been a spontaneous groundswell demanding the stadium be named for him to which he would only reluctantly agree so as not to offend people. The man's whole life was one big grift.

Just a heads up. Last year's mauling of the Pedsters in the Shoe is currently being shown on BTN.

In case you missed it here's the condensed version

.

Guaranteed thread on BWI arguing that daring to show this is solely to embarrass ped state (and possibly undermine Jimmy's recruiting) and the latest in the long line of slights, insults and treachery determined to keep ped state down.

I checked, believe it or not there wasn't an entire thread devoted to it. Maybe they were all out grilling with their cardboard cutouts of Joesus or something.

Oh there was a thread. It was masked with a "clever" title (not really clever at all). The main focus was on how much of a piece of shit Urban was for challenging the spot on a 4th down that reversed the call and gave OSU the ball.

They'll never forget that. We're all scared of the retaliation.

Ahh....glad someone dove down into the filth - unless I see a juicy title I don't even click on their links anymore

so I went and found it:

I didn't click the link at the time and just laughed at the stupid article they had posted. Then this morning I thought about it again and just wondered who could have possibly written an anti-Urban Meyer article for TSN. I was completely shocked to find out who it was

Ha. I love the mentality of "you're beating us by 49 points - you should let us have a first down we didn't deserve."
Why doesn't Joe Paterno get blasted for the same score in 1994?

Because, stupid, the score accidentally got out of hand late after all the starters were pulled.

I forget what their excuse was, but it was some combination of their 3rd and 4th stringers were just that dominant and because Joesus.
