I don't get why people don't understand that you don't air family laundry in public. Yeah, Delaney is going to listen to what you have to say after you embarrass/disrespect him in public.

Even Joe did most of his politicking behind closed doors. He had earned the respect and gravitas to perhaps mention something in public and get away with it. But even he knew not to fight all of his battles in public.

What Joe was that because it sure as shit wasn't Joe Paterno. He aired every single whining, bitching complaint he ever had as loudly through the press as he could from not getting championships in 68 and 69 (still publicly bitching about Nixon decades later) to not getting his Eastern Conference to his opposition to the BTN all the way up to his constant whining about the refs in the Big Ten. The man never had an issue that he didn't get on his soapbox and take to the press.

They really live in a compete fantasy world as to how that guy conducted his business.

What were his reasons to oppose the BTN? I never heard that one.

But I do find it funny - According to the cult, Paterno was behind getting replay into the game (I don't think they care about Spartan Bob). According to them, Paterno was the reason for the BCS, so we can get out of the Rose Bowl if we have a chance for the national championship. He's the reason that terrible rule where the clock starts at the moment of kick-off only lasted one year. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of improvements caused by Paterno and Penn State. Now, whenever the playoffs expand to 8 teams, Penn State will claim that it's because of them. Ha. They won't remember that people have been saying that it should be 8 from the beginning. It's a good thing our referees have kept them down for 20+ years. They might have let their 20-year consecutive conference championship run (and subsequent national championships in 75% of those years) get to their head, and they'd probably have expanded to the NFL by now, winning 75% of those games, as well.

The guy could be right..... As much as the slime ball moaned in puplic, he was much worse behind closed doors. I mean how many orders must he have given to keep people having good weekends....
