Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

This actually makes sense. If you ignore the fact that games are always scheduled against each other. How many times do you find yourself being annoyed that 2 or 3 games that you want to watch are all in the same time slot, while the 12 or 3:30 time slot has a bunch of duds.

It does make sense. But I know that our game was scheduled as a night game before the season started. Sure, ESPN/ABC/any network can change the start time. But the way the Pedsters are making it sound, the networks, the Big Ten, and everyone else who just hates Penn State moved our game to 8:00 just to spite Penn State.

Monday will be the fourth anniversary of Joesus' firing by the Board of Trustees. What does that mean, you ask? Why, more attention-whoring from the Paterno family, of course. The latest incarnation of Paterno attention-whoring comes in the form of a letter from Sue Paterno in which she continues to seek the "truth" and expresses hope that the "facts" will some day come out.

Quite obviously, the Cult gulps down this latest Sue Paterno letter and lauds her for remaining classy despite the overwhelming wrongs that have been committed against the Paterno family.

 at her just signing Sue..

I love how the cult puts the former foosball players on such a pedestal. As if they are so much wiser than the plain old alumni and have such an ingrained right to influence the running of the university. They truly were the apostles.

Hell, I wouldn't want half of our former foosball players anywhere near Bricker Hall.

They are kind of like France at this point. They still have the distorted worldview that they are a major power and, at the very least, indirectly involved in every move on the geopolitical stage.

Russia invaded the Ukraine to put the squeeze on their natural gas supplies heading into the winter as payback for 1812! Fax!! Evidents!!

Exactly. I (regretfully) read the letter, and it came off to me as nothing more than another effort by the Paternos to get up on a soapbox and whine about Joe's firing. I'm not even sure why this is news anymore--she sent a self-serving letter to the "Penn State Lettermen." Who cares?
Hmmmm. Not an HR person, but isn't there a difference in the severance or retirement package in a "fired for cause" case? In which case Sue and the the rest of the Clampetts may be SOL. Also, no question that if Joesus had been cleared, had retired, and gone on the speaker trail he would have commanded a pretty hefty fee... and gotten it.

I'm sure his two deadbeat sons are grinding their teeth over all the money they've lost on licensing his image, releasing books of his teachings and so on. There's only so many Joeped Ales and 409 can cozies that the cult can buy.

It's about time that the Big Ten scheduling office did their part to keep the pedsters from dominating the conference. The refs can only do so much.

They honestly think a schedule should be set up to give them the easiest possible road. They understand they have to play Michigan and Ohio State....but since those teams are better than they are, they should get bye weeks before both. And good god, they have to play away games back to back, then a home game, then away back to back again! How could somebody do that!?!?!?!?!

I also like the guy who mentioned Franklin crying about their opponents having bye weeks before them. Go ahead and check out our schedule last year....on top of losing 2 starting QBs....and then remind me again how we handled it. Rutgers, Penn St, Michigan St all with bye weeks before us. Fuck off.

BAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Even further down that thread, somebody dares to question the conspiracy.
Nobody is out to get us. This year we have a bye week before Michigan, and if you will recall we had a bye before both Michigan and Ohio State back in 1994.
The normal reply comes swiftly.
I like this post. To show that the schedule makers who with some frequency have us play both of the Darling 2 back-to-back, are so totally unbiased, you go back 21 years. Twenty-one years!

What's your next post? To show that Penn State has had favorable calls in the 4th quarter by bringing up the 1982 Nebraska game?
michnittlion drops the truth bomb.
We had a bye week before BOTH Ohio State and Michigan in 2014.
And then crickets. Fucking idiots.

BOT cultist and one time baseball legend Anthony Lubrano makes an appearance in that thread

I have always thought the University did Joesus a huge favor by cancelling his scheduled press conference in the middle of the Sandusky storm. Joesus could not handle football questions from a largely fawning media over the final year of his tenure, but he was going navigate a suddenly hostile press that sensed blood in the water? I can remember back in 2011 visiting numerous message boards and people across the country had their popcorn ready for Joesus' press conference because it was sure to be a train wreck.

I think there was a near 100 percent chance that Joesus would have lost his temper or further embarrassed/incriminated himself if he had been allowed to have his press conference to give some "FACTS" and "THE TRUTH."

This is a man who, knowing full damn well that kids were abused, stood on his lawn in front of cameras and said "victims, or whatever you want to call them".

I don't know he knew in 98 or in 2001. I believe he absolutely did, but I don't know for certain. But he was told something back then....and then the arrest came in 2011, which brought validity to the stories he heard 10 years earlier. At that point he 100% knew that what he was told ended up being true. Whatever plausible deniability he has for not doing anything before 2011, when he was standing on his door step that night talking to that crowd of mutant cultists, he 100% knew that the rumors and stories ended up being factual. And that's when he chose to call them "victims or whatever".

One million percent he would have said something or done something to further embarrass/incriminate himself or the football program.

Has anybody ever explained a motive behind those people who supposedly wanted Paterno fired? I mean....I hated the mother fucker like no other, but these are people who probably stood to benefit from him still being around, right?

Supposedly, John Surma (one of the main power brokers on the BoT and the guy who actually announced Joesus' firing) hated Joesus because Surma's nephew was a walk on for Joesus and Joesus treated him like shit.

Here is a Cult link that details the supposed hatred the Surma family had for "The Rat" as they referred to Joesus.

Actually, JoePed got a bye week before Ohio State AND Michigan the first two years he was in the conference and had one before Michigan the first four years he was in the conference. But you can't reason with these clowns. They have to create some phony reason why their God failed to dominate the conference other than the simple fact that he wasn't good enough.
