Job of the coaches DURING a game - find schemes and plays that fit the current game. Put peeps in the right position. Yeah, the wildcat was dumb but did Fickell fumble the ball?

Did the coaching staff jump off sides? Did the coaching staff fumble the ball out of Hydes hands? Did he coaching staff consistently miss blocks and fumble snaps?

Only thing the coaches can do is get at the players and see what the issue is and TRY to correct it, they cant fix issues that are happening in the game at the time.

I just put on your Polaroids and the loss looks like coaching bliss.

Then I looked with my own eyes, and it looked, again, to be as bad as it was.

I know your track record.

oooh, my internet message board "track record". LMAO. Seriously? Okay man, I debated you about Fickell, you are right. But track record? Bro this is the internet.

Sandjk: Never said it wasnt a hard loss, Im just putting blame where it is mainly due. I firmly believe that one should execute their duties when asked to.

I loved what I saw from the defense in the 2nd half. Stopping any offense 4 downs in a row from the ~1 yard line is a huge accomplishment that I can only even remember seeing one other time. The defense kept us in this game. Our offense had the energy it needed in the second half but it just couldn't get points on the board. They made mistakes you'd expect from a young team like this.

Penn State played a great game today, definitely took me by surprise. They seem to have a habit of playing one of their best games of their season against us. They earned it tonight.

IT'S MICHIGAN WEEK! [censored] TSUN!

OH!!!!!

Thank you. Im not the only one here saying majority of todays issue was on the players shoulders, but I am the only one he is going after for some reason, lol. Funny stuff.
Again, I know your track record. All I've seen you do is blame the players. I'm not sure you know what coaches are even responsible for.

The lack of mental focus makes me wonder aloud if we aren't seeing signs of people just checking out?

I won't go far as to say "quit", but there are some inexplicable gaffs coming from guys who shouldn't be making them at this point in their careers.

I don't know maybe it's just me. I am beyond frustrated right now, this feels like the end of the Cooper era to me. I'm so pissed at the product on the field I can't be rational about the people in charge.

Sometimes the game can very simple.... The team that makes the fewst mistakes wins.... That is what happen tonight. The young pups made their mistakes but some of the vets made some bad plays.

Maybe because I am 100% sober I see a lot of good things.

- Obvious.. Shazier is a beast. Made some bad plays but the kid does not just show flashes he is dynamite

- We miss a true edge pass rusher in Nathan Williams.... I think he will be back next year

- Braxton in my untrained eye took huge strides in being this teams leader tonight. They believe in him and he delivers. After last week I PM'ed who I respect a lot on this board and asked if Miller is really going to be the man and can he actually throw the ball. I have my answer.

-Lots of young pups getting reps

Put it together next week boys and win the entire season in one game!

Beat *ICHIGAN

Similar sentiment here. For me, this game and Purdue showed a team that expected to win.

Well, that means good things are in store for the next couple of years, right?

The wildcat fumble was avenged, we got the ball back. It all comes down to the fumble later in the drive.

Disagree. Yes our D held and they didn't get anything from it, but we were running the ball right down their throats that possession and making real progress. Not only did it kill that, but it allowed them to take the ball and run a ton more of the clock, as well as land us in terrible field position.

That fumble may not have destroyed us, but it sure as hell crippled us badly.
