It was never in question about the prep of the players, it was about the lack of execution today.

If false starts, bad snaps, dropped catches, fumbles, and penalties are all the coaches fault. When does it become the players fault? I really am curious to see where the posters draw the line.
You chastize others for only blaming the coaches, yet you seem to think it's all the players fault. Do you honestly not see the silliness of that?

I have no problem blaming the players, they aren't executing. But, the coaches are culpable as well. If they aren't instilling the discipline, then what is their job besides wearing a headset?

I honestly still don't get it...why would you put anyone else back there but Brax? He IS the wildcat.

I have no problem with Boom in the wildcat. I think they tried to get Hyde back there to give him a little extra time to see the hole. I don't understand the Jordan Hall handoff to Boom wildcat at all.

I am just sick and tired of ESPN right now. Contrast the coverage (after the fact) of the scandals that are/were tatgate and child molestration. We hear adnausem about every transgression by OSU drudged up again and again throughtout the off season and every game this season.
Contrast that with State Penn today where there is almost a love face with Penn State, Paterno, you guys did an awesome job today, yada, yada, yada......
Ok rant over.....

The distractions to this team have been unheard of this season, but PSU is in that boat as well.

Coach fired, players suspended, lame duck staff. Just proved to be too much for the players. Haven't seen mental lapses like tonight out of an Ohio State team in some time.

Feel bad for the seniors (most of them) that this was their final season at Ohio State because it is definitely going to go down as one of the more forgettable ones.

Hopefully there are brighter days ahead.

Beating UM is going to be a tall order as they are playing with a ton of confidence right now and Ohio State is staggering to the finish.

It's the week of THE GAME now.

It's tough losing like this after experiencing one hell of a ride over the last 10 or so years. Things will get better even though this season has been extremely frustrating. No concerns on my part regarding the future of this team. Down years happen, the kids just need to learn from this.

Job of the coaches DURING a game - find schemes and plays that fit the current game. Put peeps in the right position. Yeah, the wildcat was dumb but did Fickell fumble the ball?

Did the coaching staff jump off sides? Did the coaching staff fumble the ball out of Hydes hands? Did he coaching staff consistently miss blocks and fumble snaps?

Only thing the coaches can do is get at the players and see what the issue is and TRY to correct it, they cant fix issues that are happening in the game at the time.
