OT Isaiah Prince (All B1G, Tennessee Titans)

ISAIAH PRINCE VISIT MAY BE OFF
247Sports.com/Bucknuts reporting that Greenbelt, Maryland OL Isaiah Prince's official visit to Ohio State this weekend may not happen. Trying to get some feedback from OSU on this, but will update as I can. Ohio State was cautiously optimistic following an in-home visit with Prince earlier this week but it appears that last week's visit to Bama might have sealed the deal.

Sometimes the timing of the visit is everything in the recruiting process.

I had seen this (article below) earlier and thought we really had a chance for him too:

The coach said Prince was informed by the UA staff that Alabama stood at 27 commitments and might not have a scholarship available for the elite left tackle. His stepmother, father and stepbrother all accompanied him on the visit. He will now visit national champion Ohio State this coming weekend and in-state (and perceived favorite) Maryland on the 30th. Green was appreciative that Nick Saban and staff were truthful with Prince and his family so the elite prospect did not put himself into a compromising position. The family was unaware of the scholarship situation before the trip and could have rescheduled the visit to Tuscaloosa for the final weekend to see if the the scholarship was available for certain.
Green believes UA may have led going into the weekend official visit and said Prince and the family really enjoyed the weekend trip. He revealed Prince was disappointed that a scholarship may not have been available but would move on to his other top two Ohio State and Maryland. The coach believes his star is a low-maintenance kid with a high upside that will be a natural left tackle on the major college level.

Apparently Saban waived his magic wand and pulled another scholarship out of his hat.

Best of luck to him, but I don't think any of us truly believed we had much of a shot. I'm fine with Boulware, or our current crop of commits. I have a feeling well be seeing Mr. prince in the future on the playing field. :welcome:
