OT Isaiah Prince (All B1G, Tennessee Titans)

Because he hasn't met your goal of when he should make his college decision??

Not at all...all recruits do it...I was basing this off the fact that he last visited Maryland on August 30th unofficially and now he is visiting a week before signing day...he also lives 5 minutes away from campus...Maybe something changed on campus that would change his mind but I would assume based on the proximity he would know if he wants to enroll at Maryland or not by now

Or he could be a respectful kid that wants to give Maryland one last shot...

This kid makes the competition he is playing against look incredible weak, but I am not sure how good the competition is, it might be very good and Prince is just that dominant. I know we only have so many spots left and I love Beckner and Gustin but Prince is also right there at the top. If we could pull all three the class would be incredible.

It has to be a tough call for some of these kids. The chance to stay home and play at Maryland or go to a real big time school like OSU, Alabama, etc and actually play for something. The Maryland coaches sell the same thing to these kids year after year "stay home, help us change the program, close to family, etc" It worked for Stephon Diggs, it worked for Damian Prince last year, it works for a few kids each year...guess what...Maryland is what they are, a middle of the road program. A good year is 8-9 wins at best depending on their non-conference. The top kids that go there will basically play in relative obscurity compared to bigger programs, they will get drafted and the cycle will continue. I really wonder though if a guy like Diggs would give a truthful answer to the question was choosing to "stay home" worth the opportunity to passed up playing for Urban Meyer, going ~38-3 the last 2 years, winning a title, etc.

Schools like Maryland and Virginia always seem to get kid elite kids to buy in and stay home with the lore of building the program but the same cycle continues, those programs never progress...Stephon Diggs, Damian Prince, EJ Henderson, Quinn Blanding, Andrew Brown, im sure i am missing a few more as well.

Not ragging on Prince at all, i just find it an interesting situation that seems to occur in that Maryland/Virginia area...

To be fair, it's not like MD has been selling this "Stay at home movement" for years and years.

Its really only since Edsall (Locksley) has gotten there that MD has made a concerted effort to keep the locals home.

Not saying its going to work but its still relatively early in the process.

I think you'll have a better read on MD's long term prospects to compete in the B1G by how they do in the 2016 DMV class (which is loaded).

I do believe that Torrance Gibson also visited his home town school, Miami as well. And he too had ample time to visit a team who's offense doesn't fit his skill set. But some kids feel that it's the respectful thing to give one last look to the hometown school. I'm sure family encourages that

Sounds like Saban and Cristobal left last night without a public acknowledgement of his commitment to Alabama...and is sounds like he will visit Maryland this weekend:

Per @RyanBartow, appears Isaiah Prince may still be in play for Maryland. One of the only players left that could save this class.

Obviously I hope we get Prince but I would much prefer to see him go to Maryland over Bama and stay in the B1G. The Princes manning the tackle spots would be great building blocks for them.
