OT Andy Miller (official thread)

Very nice comparison. A couple other guys that come to mind are Eric Winston from Cryami. If I remember right he played some te against us in 02' and Robert Gallery was a converted TE to T.

I think him and Ballard have a great shot at becoming very good tackles in a few years.

Winston was the TE that was wide open and overthrown by a woozy Dorsey on 3rd and goal, the play before Cie Grant ended it all.

"He really has his priorities straight as far as doing the right thing and religious beliefs. That is the kind of guy I want in charge of me.

Tressel will bend over backwards for his players (see Clarett) to a fault because of his good nature and religious beliefs. This can only work in OSU's favor in terms of winning over recruits.

Andy Miller is interviewed in this week's BN Radio hour.

It's been a long time since I've been so impressed by a radio interview with a high school student-athlete. It's easy to see why JT wanted this guy.

Wondering if anyone has heard anything about Andy. I know when we were recruiting him he kept making mention of how the staff is going to give him his shot at TE. With Nicol being here for another couple years and Ballard seemingly having a leg up, is that still where he is going to get that "first shot" or is OT in his future?

I would imagine with potentially a year left of Boone and Barton and some kids like Long, Adams, Davis, etc. possibly being in the fold, the numbers will dictate that Miller stays at TE. He undoubtedly showed he had the skills to be a D1 TE and although he may not see much time next year, he could definitely be seeing a lot of the field by his RS Junior year when Ballard will be a Senior and Nicol will be gone.
